i will not fail. such confidence. so sure of herself. the commander detects bitterness and perhaps even a bit of venom behind the words. it would not surprise her given the constant friction of their dynamic. striving for similar goals, yet never quite on the same page. neither willing to admit they see parts of themself within the other. good. let it fuel her. if the skaigada wants to play warrior, she'll need a conduit for all that RAGE.

leksa approaches slowly, jaw set, eyes piercing. she dares to encroach on okteivia's space, stopping at a distance where one can determine where the hue begins to change within the other's irises. at first, she says nothing, dark, green orbs trained on the outsider. there are still doubts and reservations lingering in her mind about this one. but then again, she's known fighters to accomplish incredible feats with the right push.

merrin  understood  all  about  being  alone.  she  reaches  for  cal,  placing  a  hand  on  his  shoulder  in  hopes  of  comforting  him.  she  knows,  she  has  left  him  before.  but  not  now...  not  after  all  they've  been  through.  ❝as  long  as  i  live,  you  will  never  be  alone.❞  she  says. 

but  she  also  knows,  that's  exactly  what  he  might  be  afraid  of  —  her  going  and  dying  on  him.  so  many  people  had,  and  he  hadn't  been  able  to  control  that.  no  one  could,  so  she  couldn't  promise  him.  but  she  could  promise  him,  like  a  vow,  that  she  would  be  there  for  as  long  as  she  could.  tattooed  fingers  squeeze  his  shoulder,  and  she  she  hopes  he  can  feel  what  she's  trying  to  tell  him.

natalie actually has quite a few playlists because she used music to fill the quiet of her two houses. she uses all of them quite a bit depending on what she's feeling and what she needs, but in her main verse it's a playlist she made with both incredibly soft songs and incredibly loud songs that she shuffles back and forth between depending on what she needs in the moment .. it's definitely her most creative playlist.
