:D I was tagged byĀ @maiikawriter to write five positive things about myself, and like she said, itās hard to do when youāre reserved or socialised to not brag due to gender or by your culture in general (hi England lol). But like Maiika did, gonna do it without backtracking and include anecdotes. Iāve a bad day so doing this is good for the self esteems. I tag EVERYONE YOU SHOULD DO IT TOO GOGOGO TIME TO BRAG TAG ME SO I CAN READ.
1) I am disgustingly good at learning things to aĀ ājust beyond a beginnerā level, and then intermediate if Iām interested, thatās across the board. My Dad says Iām a sponge and always need new information, which is true. I have genuinely pissed people off unintentionally through excited mimicry of their party pieces (like this, the look I got... still feel bad haha but itās such a good sound)
2) I am very good at āand thenā stuff, seeing possible permutations, how things interplay and likely outcomes. I can keep a lot in my head when Iām healthy and mesh them together. It means Iām ace atĀ āworld buildingā orĀ ātheory buildingā given a scenario, and helps at work when coding. I can draw parallels between seemingly random things and spot connections where a solution to one problem might help another.Ā 3) I have grapheme-colour synaesthesia, which means when I see numbers and letters they have a colour to them (theyāre black, but itās like an extra glow of another colour triggered by my brain insisting they have that colour). Tied with that is seeing words Iām hearing like a ticker tape along the top of the screen like the news, or words Iām about to say like an autocue. Itās the same with instruments in music, theyāre kindaĀ āvisibleā in the same space but more as shapes? Synaesthesia helps me remember things! But means I say things bizarre things like āIsrael? Yeah thatās what I meant when I said Argentinaā because the colours are similar! 4) Probably shouldnāt be proud of this but - Iām queen of doingĀ ājust enoughā orĀ āmore than the other personā so I can spend time on my own stuff. I wrote fanfic throughout my GCSEs pretty much every lesson other than art and spent my entire A-levels addicted to online gaming and still got top marks - not as top as I should have apparently, but you get to a point of diminishing returns with studying - why study 20 more hours for 3 more marks that arenāt gonna matter because a grade is a grade? So I played MapleStory instead (Ice-lightening mage, as it was typoed). Good times, got carpal tunnel. Second perfect example at my ability to appear amazing - I was described on school reports asĀ āconscientiousā from a little kid and only bothered to look up what it meant when I was about 15. ĀÆ\_(ć)_/ĀÆĀ
5) My imagination is so wild I can zone out staring at a wall and sometimes Iāll just do it in my leisure time with the same song on repeat and not notice. Lifehack - itās not maladaptive daydreaming if thereās nothing to be maladaptive about ~~~
