Log #004.

Quick Lohen redesign/simplification this time. Will def change it once he comes out. For now, the redesign is simply a simplification so I don't go crazy over the fact that in his og design, the left side of his jacket seems to make no logical sense 😁

I'm sorry but I lose my mind every time I see clothing that does not make any semblance of sense.. YES IK IT'S FANTASY. BUT LIKE...YA RLLY TELLING ME SOME TAILOR CANONICALLY HATED THEMSELVES THAT MUCH THAT THEY WILLINGLY TORTURED THEMSELVES DESIGNING ALL THESE CLOTHES,...???😦

Anyways I also drew more.. yk oc x canon. This is not surprising in the slightest. I actually love them sm...🦈 Which is funny cause this pairing is arguably my least interesting oc x canon pairing.

I suppose the nature of their relationship itself is a topic I personally found fascinating ┐⁠(⁠´⁠ー⁠｀⁠)⁠┌

Having a loved one with serious health or mental issues can be something difficult to deal with, and caring for them can be a daunting task in itself. Logically speaking, yes they are technically a burden. But emotionally speaking, DON'T YOU DARE FUCKING TELL THEM THAT OR ACT LIKE THEY ARE ONE. They NEVER asked or chose to be in that situation in the first place and they're as upset as the other is, if not more.

I love exploring complex relationships, so tbh this dynamic is actually fascinating to me. The struggles this sorta relationship entails.

Anyways funfacts

During the earlier stages of their relationship Lohen tied mittens on their hands cause Azreth kept scratching themselves, causing bleeding. Yet he didn't take into account the fact Azreth ended up chewing through the mittens.

Lohen cuts Azreth's hair regularly so it's more easily manageable. It's also why their hair sorta looks butchered I mean whatttt. Their hair looks greattttt... I drew it. I'd know. Haha ..

Lohen nicknames Az, Azzy :D

With Azreth's history of uh stabbing, Lohen was instructed repeatedly to NOT hand Azreth a knife. Well they should've specified cause he found other sharp objects to let them learn using.

AHHHH life has been so busy lately, luckily I'm not burnt out or anything sigh 😔 Anyways Log uh something I forgor for the Genshin Post-Natlan Au...

I redesigned Amber (ah might change it tho..) I actually redesigned Jean, Barbara, and Dahlia aswell but I'm still tryna make it even more simple. My personal style really isn't that flashy so I wanna tone down the designs immensely.

I also drew more Lohen and Azreth stuff... Cause ofc I did! Aha. They make me feel so happy oh my god they're actually my favorite oc x canon pairing now.

I also finally realized why Genshin always felt so dead/hollow to me!! The npcs. Like- they feel so dead. legit yk they're just npcs, your mind gotta make up your own hc or stories for em if you want something interesting, no wonder Dahlia's bored af I'd be too if outside of playable characters everyone has no personality...

So I wanna try adding life into the Au as well.. toning down the designs would help in that regard actually- it makes the playable characters not stand out like a sore thumb (unless intended to)

Log #003.

I FINALLY made an Azreth design I'm happy with!! K ik it looks ridiculously simple considering the Genshin association but Az lore wise, it makes 0 sense to give them some complex clothing. 😅

Made this silly interaction between Aether and Colombina! I'll draw it digitally. Eventually... (man I hate digital art. Colors are..nice tho..)

Anddd we got a Scara redesign (WIP)

Tbh his base design already looks good considering everything, but since he's now staying in sumeru I decided to swap the cloth of his clothes for something you'd get in Sumeru. However, since he's from Ei's region he dressed himself the way an average inazuma (That's Ei's region right? I forgor) person would.

Anyways oc yap time. I thought Az was boring and wanted to do more with them, so I did. And created angst. (I have an angst loving problem..)

I wanted Azreth to experience the dilemma of 'not being human'. Physically, Azreth IS human. Sorta. I'm talking about being human in a 'What makes us human?' sense. Due to their trauma and upbringing they struggle to comprehend or understand what being human is meant to be or mean.

Their relationship with their step-brother/Ezra is an example of it. Any normal human being would obviously miss and grief someone so close to them, yet Azreth feels nothing. And they know that's not a reaction they should feel, but truly, they couldn't care less. So they feel guilty for not fully caring about him. Whichhhhh also makes them clash with Aether who created a whole delusion about him and his sister to cope with the separation. 😋

Azreth thinks this simply means there's something physically wrong with them so they attempt self experimentation, hoping it'll somehow fix their body, their brain, their emotions. (Obviously it doesn't)

They don't experiment on themself as frequently or in extreme ways like they used to cause of Lohen. But they still don't feel right, and often get the impulse to want to fix themself.

The concept behind what makes a person human is a really interesting subject I wanna tackle more on, and something I myself am still trying to draw my own conclusions from :D ! So overtime I'll def change Azreth to more fit whatever shit I figure out abt this idea. So for now this is the basic concept behind em.

Yapping on Tumblr really better sorts out the ideas I have for the Au tbh. It's easier to figure stuff out once it's typed down and not actively running about in my mind lmao

Log#002.

A few Genshin Redesigns for the post Natlan Au

Alright we've got three very different approaches to redesigning here today.. 😅

Colombina's redesign's main focus was her body (having eyes, wings, uh not normal body stuff) so I was at such a loss for the clothing 😭 Ended up randomly drawing and here we are. Tho I'm pretty happy with it, looks complicated but it's fairly easy to replicate if need be.

I was also lost on what to do with Nahida but instead of random sketching like Colombina, I googled what sumeru was based off. So. INDIA, IRAN, AND EGYPT??? HUH??? I WOULD NEVER HAVE GUESSED LOOKING AT NAHIDA...😭 So. Yeah.. I tried incoperating those in.. pretty happy w how she turned out, I had always loved layered drippy clothing so drawing her outfit was fun... I could feel the R1999 player in me influencing this design lmao

Ei... Barely changed tbh. I simply made her clothing longer and looser, and deformed her body. Since this is the doll I wanna make Ei seem sorta unstable so she'd lash out on her own doll but she's too depressed to bother fixing it so now it's a deformed puppet.

I also redesigned my Genshin ocs!! :D

(I might change Az's a bit more perhaps.. hmm)

Anyways have my mandatory daily drawing of Lohen x Azreth. I am so hyperfixated on this character man...😭

I wouldn't even consider my liking of him simping cause he reminds me a ton of myself actually- it's more so... Pure hyperfixation ig.. I'm glad he's super popular tho I get fed art of him a ton 💥💥

I wish my husband (Hummingbird) had as much art as Lohen has 🥲 Bluepoc make him playable please...

I miss him 🥲
