1. THIS. THIS MOMENT RIGHT HERE:

yes I loved all the other kisses and how passionate they were but this one was different. and I'm glad it was. yes there's an urgency there but the smiles and laughs just remind you that there's so much history between them. that just because there's lust being explored here doesn't mean that there's still not friendship between them. all of that while still showing you just how much they both want it and each other. I just really love this moment so damn much.

2. Gendry looking at her scars:

Before she even removes her shirt, he's ready to just have her. He's aroused by how in control of the situation she is and then her shirt comes off. That moment he takes to just look at them says so damn much. THE AMOUNT OF CONCERN ON HIS FACE SAYS IT ALL. The lingering shot of both the camera and his stare means that conversation still needs to be unpacked and I really do believe we'll get it. Because there's no way Gendry's letting that go. And because I really love how Joe played this scene.

3. The flirting at the Forge: Oh man this, this was the fucking callback of callbacks. WE REALLY DID GET THE GLOW UP VERSION OF ARYA EYING GENDRY IN HARRENHAL AT WINTERFELL.

I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS LOOK REALLY WAS JUST FOR ARYA TO EYE FUCK HIM. LIKE I'M STILL AMAZED. but the mutual flirting was the best bit. Arya trying to call Gendry's work cheap and then him slamming that ax down to shut her up was so damn hot. SHE WAS VISIBLY TURNED ON BY THAT. BUT THEN SHE TURNS THE TABLES ON HIM AND LEAVES HIM HOT AND BOTHERED. she really did throw those dragonglass daggers just to show off and be like "my weapon?" "I'll get right on it." WITH A DAMN SMILE ON HIS FACE. LIKE SHE DID THAT TO HIM.

4. the entire vibe building up to the moment they make love: it was perfectly done in my opinion. it's funny and awkward and yet so playful and sweet. and you can feel that coming from both them and the situation. yeah it's rushed but you as the audience know why it's rushed. it's everything happening at once but it's also so natural. like Joe and Maisie's chemistry really does shine here and that's what makes it work.

5. the look Gendry gives her when Arya settles atop him:

I don't know if the shot and placement was coincidental or intentional, but Gendry looking up at Arya the same way Dany looks up at Jon during boatsex with what can only be described as love, was just spectacular. because it really solidifies what's actually happening. Arya tried her best to play it off as this experience she wants to have before "the end of the world" but we know it's more than that. if she wanted to just have sex, she could've found anyone or gone to anyone. yet, she chose Gendry. she actively went looking for him for a reason because this was more than sex. she wanted it to mean something. she wanted something genuine. she wanted to do this on her own terms and she knew that Gendry would follow her lead, no questions asked because that's the way it's always been. even in the midst of this, she gave him agency. she let him decide what he wanted. and he chose to stay. he chose to be with her. the point of this was that they chose each other and the moment Arya realizes that is the moment when Gendry looks up at her. with a look full of awe, full of fascination. full of love. this is more than sex now, it's making love and she accepts that.
