Manthan- A Review
India's DNA
Power is (poi)son
Commitment to change, fast change but with complete understanding, work, respect for every single worker, every single leader, leadership development, transfer of 99 paisa to the actual person, new rules and regulations in Congress party, merging of all religions, castes, working for all 'sangthans' and many more things were focused by AICC"S vice president Rahul Gandhi in his maiden speech after being elected unanimously on the last day of AICC"S 'Chintan Shivir' in Jaipur from 18th to 20th Jan. 2013. The words coming on his lips were not made by alert mind but erupted from the core of his heart as shower of natural emotions but at the same time wrapped in maturity of a powerful, hopeful, determined, capable leader.
Here we can raise many questions? Why India's DNA not recognized so far? Why no need for change is felt so far? Why every single worker and every single leader is not respected so far? Why has there been no leadership development so far? Why have no rules and regulations been crafted and implemented so far? Why has the corruption been allowed to vanish 85 paisa so far? Why have not 40-50 leaders be developed so far? Why has the congress party been revolving around the heirs of single family so far? Why didn't he speak about continuous inflation? Why has there been no control over other leaders of the party? Why have they been thinking not in accordance with the party's thinking? And many more...
Now about International Challenges. He was feeling proud of his grandmother Mrs. Indira Gandhi, Ex. Prime Minister of India. Everyone knows that she was internationally known as 'Iron Lady'. He remembered her sacrifice but the strength of iron in his speech was missing. The whole world identified her courage with respect and fear. She never let the nation feel undignified as,recently, it has been after the two soldiers have been martyred on the LoC by Pakistan. She not only thundered but rained cats and dogs also. She never showed her tender heart but steadfast action with grit.
Though, his words, successfully, drained the eyes of his attached ones, were not artificial. Very obviously, they were flowing quite naturally. Everyone was mesmerized by the real thinker's and reliable leader's emotional gesture. His previous activities and the efforts to present him as the one dwelling among common people have attracted his rivals' attention. At this crucial moment, one cannot afford to account his speech mere show of positivity on negativity. His words were a mixture of deep contemplation, determination and truth with, no doubt, purity of heart.
His anecdote of previous night, that his mother came to his room, cried and told him that power is poison was worth listening. She also had suggested him not to chase after the power. This suggestion by a mother to a son, who has just attained a prominent post in the party, was a dignified quote worth mentioning. We all are quite vigilant to assess his speech to rely upon or wait and watch.
