(Hi! So I don't have any beef or bad blood with OP with the non-gendered gendered terms post but as an agender nonbinary person in a very patriarchal Catholicism cissexist country, gendered terms are very alienating for me and I personally see no comfort and liberation in using them for myself or my F/O. I'm happier being androgynous and agender and ignoring the existence of a gender binary, and I only use gendered terms when it's funny or convenient.

Like the saying goes, what may be liberating and freeing for one person isn't necessarily as freeing or liberating for the next person)
