So, here goes. Enough bits are starting to come together that I feel like this is going to be a real project, not something that will fizzle out before completion - but as part of the ethos is to post things as & when they're done, rather than have another however-many-months staying quiet and not scratching the release itch, I need to start somewhere.
To post under the umbrella of this project, said umbrella must first be opened.
I've done two rather serious releases in a row; which is fine, and I remain proud of them, but is not what Depthbuffer is about. In fact, the only things Depthbuffer is really about are not pigeon-holing the alias into being about any one genre, not letting ideas of perfection above my station standing in the way of release, and trying not to be a dick to anyone along the way. So it's time for a less serious release.
It's also time to accept that I have a bunch of electronics, video, software, article, and other ideas that are not in and of themselves "music", but are ultimately in service of the end goal of making an album. So: make the things, write about making the things, use the things to make music, release the music.
