It’s not great but I did write some events for one of my characters, Henri the snobby waiter. It’s enough to give you an idea of what he’s like, even if the events aren’t perfect (or even written well).

Also I don’t have names for most things so I have to use placeholders all over the place! So here’s the names of stuff so it’s less confusing: Protagonist will be referred to as [MC] Waiter: Henri Chef: Vic Chef’s Apprentice: Charley Restaurant: Heaven’s Little Pigs Child who appears in one of the events: Jenn Jenn’s Pet Ferret: Monty

Introductory Event: (Upon entering the restaurant and looking around, the waiter rushes over to you) Waiter: "Hold on a second there! My goodness... Get out." MC: (!) Waiter: "There's no way I'm letting someone as grubby as you in here!" MC: (Speaks with hand motions) Waiter: "You're the new farmer? You just came by to introduce yourself? Oh... well, make it quick! And get out the moment you've finished." (Over on the other side of the room, the chef appears from the kitchen and walks over to you) Chef: "You're the new farmer, aren't you? The mayor told me about you! I've been waiting for you to show up so I could say hello! I'm Vic and this is my restaurant." MC: (Speaks with hand motions) Vic: "[MC], is it? You're welcome to come by any time! Well, I should get back to the kitchen. I've got a lot of work to do. Although not as much as I'd hope... I look forward to seeing you again, [MC]!" (Vic returns to the kitchen while the waiter continues watching you suspiciously) Waiter: "...Fine. You can come in. Oh... I'm Henri, the waiter here." (...) "I suggest you get a pair of shoes just for this restaurant..."

Event 1: How To Be A Better Waiter (Entering the restaurant, you see the place is pretty much empty. Charley, the chef's apprentice, is there and you walk over to her) Charley: "Hey, a customer! Now that's a rare sight." MC: (?) Charley: "It's not Vic's fault! They're a brilliant chef and I don't slack off either. We just don't have many customers because... Henri scares most of them off." MC: (Sweat drop) Charley: "He's not a bad waiter, really. His only problem lies in customer service. Can you give him some advice? I've tried to tell him before but he never takes me seriously. Just tell him that he needs to be kinder to the customers. Even a smile would make all the difference!" (Charley walks away while you consider what she said. After awhile, you walk further on to find the waiter, who turns towards you then) Henri: "What do you want?" MC: (Speaks with hand motions) Henri: "You want to give me advice? Not like you'd know anything, but go ahead. What do you have to say?" MC: (Speaks with hand motions) Henri: "I should be kinder to people? Well, maybe if they were better customers, I would!" MC: (...) (Speaks with hand motions) Henri: "Smile? Why would I do that?" Options: "Smile for me." "To be a better waiter." -Smile for me:     Henri: "For you? Hah! You've got to be kidding me! Really, you ought to be a comedian."     (Henri walks away and Charley shows up)     Charley: "...Well, he is smiling now. But it's more like he's laughing... At you... Not exactly what I was going for..." -To be a better waiter:     Henri: "What do you know about being a good waiter? I've had this job for years. You think you know more than I do?"     (Henri walks away and Charley shows up)     Charley: "I guess he's just too stubborn... I wonder if anything can be done about him?"

Event 2: A Different Point Of View (Entering the forest on the outskirts of town, you notice one of the children, Jenn, from town in a panic. You approach them) MC: (Speaks with hand motions) Jenn: "M-M-Monty is m-missing! I c-can't find him anywhere!" MC: (?) Jenn: "My pet ferret. His name is Monty." MC: (Speaks with hand motions) Jenn: "You'll help me look for him? Th-thank you!" (After searching for some time, you find the missing ferret and return him to Jenn) Jenn: "Monty! You found him! Thank you thank you thank you so much, [MC]!" (Jenn takes the ferret back and rushes home. MC is doing a little victory pose as Henri walks on screen and then MC suddenly turns to face him) MC: (!) Henri: "Jenn seems really happy. I only just got here but I saw what you did. It seems like everyone in town likes you for your kindness... Maybe you were right. Maybe if I were nicer and people liked me, we'd have more customers... But I'm not sure if I could." Options: "You can do it!" "You wouldn't be able to." -You can do it!:     Henri: "What are you talking about? Do you think I'm going to start being nice right now? No way! I'm not starting with you!"     (Henri storms off, embarrassed) -You wouldn't be able to:     Henri: "You don't think I have what it takes? Well, I'LL SHOW YOU!"     (Henri storms off, angrily)

Event 3 is incomplete. Henri decides to start being kinder to the customers and word spreads, with tons of people showing up to eat. Henri feels guilty for keeping them away all this time because Vic had been doubting their own abilities for the lack of customers. Henri talks to the protagonist about all this. The only part I wrote out was this: Henri: "Hey... you've been coming to the restaurant a lot... and you've seen me working... So... what do you think of me?" Options: "I like you." "I can't stand you." -I like you:     Henri: "You... do? I was wondering why you always put up with me... Did you always like me? Or is it because I've changed?" -I can't stand you:     Henri: "I know that's the case, but... I wish it wasn't." (Regardless of which option you picked, the following happens) Henri: (...) "I'll try my best to be kinder to the customers from now on. And I... I hope you'll continue to put up with me."

Event 4: The Food Critic (Upon entering the restaurant, you find Henri running around frantically) MC: (?) (Henri walks over to you then) Henri: "Oh, [MC]. Something is going to happen soon. I have to get things ready... You see, a food critic's coming to Heaven's Little Pigs." MC: (!) Henri: "Yes, but it's a good thing. Vic will be happy. But... I'm worried that I might let them down... Am I a good enough waiter to serve a food critic? [MC]... will you help me practice for when the food critic arrives? I won't take up too much of your time! Please, I... I really need your help." MC: (...) Henri: "Come on, it's free food." MC: (!) (Nods head) Henri: "All right then, Sir/Miss, allow me to show you to your seat." (You and Henri walk over to a table where you take a seat) Henri: "Here is our menu. If you have questions about anything, feel free to ask me." MC: (...) (Nods head) Henri: "Risotto? Is that all? Okay, I'll fetch you a glass of water while you wait." (Screen goes black for a bit and then Henri returns with the food) Henri: (...) "Ahem. Vic is busy and I didn't want to bother them, so I cooked this. Just so you know." Options: "Can't wait to eat it!" "Oh, YOU made it?" -Can't wait to eat it!:     Henri: "I will delay you no longer. Bon appetit." -Oh, YOU made it?:     Henri: "I didn't realise that would be such a problem. I've worked here for a long time so I do know my way around a kitchen, you know. ...At least pretend to eat some so we can continue." (Regardless of which option you picked, the following happens) Henri: "Thank you for your help. I think I'm ready for the food critic now. Goodbye and have a good day!" (You walk to the door and Henri walks off screen as well, but before you can leave, Vic enters) MC: (?) Vic: "Why am I not in the kitchen preparing for the food critic? What are you talking about? What food critic?" MC: (?!) (Speaks with hand motions) Vic: "Henri? Oh, that explains it... He was saying to me the other day about how he wanted to cook for you. But he didn't want you to know that! I hope you enjoyed the meal he cooked. He'd be really happy if you did!" (Henri rushes on screen now, running up to you and Vic) Henri: "Whatever they're saying, it's not true! Anyway, I think it's time you were going!" (Henri pushes you out the door)

Oh, and if you show him the ring (or whatever) to date him before you’ve seen Event 3, he says something like this: "If you are seriously presenting this to me, I only have one thing to say. No way, loser! Ho, ho, ho!" And if you’ve seen Event 3 but haven’t done the other requirements to date him, if you show him the ring he says: "What do you think you're doing? That ring's way too important to just mess around with! Stop it, it's not funny!"
