Rant under the cut about the current Poth situation under the cut.
I keep seeing people trying to stop the like 3 remaining Poth shippers from drawing fanart
I keep seeing main tagged posts calling Poth a proship. And claiming that Poth shippers are bad people for shipping it.
Recently, I saw mutuals share the sentiment, which really breaks my heart.
Every few months, some random person makes a post claiming that we should "stop ignoring the facts". Every time, I think we should start ignoring them even more.
Listen. I'm turning 21 and I have a job.
Poth brings me comfort because I've always seen it as childhood friends to lovers. Yes, Goth's OG creator supports horrible shit. But I will not pretend that in the years of liking it, that fact was common knowledge. I liked it because to me, they met as children and grew up together.
Every few months, people are trying to bring up information that to me is irrelevant.

I am not a proshipper.
"But it's different bc it's a ship and it's canonically bad!!"
It was never canonically bad. Art by either creators usually treated them as if they were the same age. There was never any intention or mention of grooming.
We do not need to make this a bigger issue than it is.
Most Poth shippers do not support grooming and do not make art with that idea in mind.
But, okay, if you're so insisting on a witch hunt, let's start dogpiling every other person who draws problematic characters:
(I would like to preface my following statements with an acknowledgement that they're hyperbolic: I don't actually want anyone to be harassed, and I will personally still be depicting said characters)
We should all stop drawing Killer, and Dust, for depicting mental illnesses in such a horrible and inaccurate way. Not to mention the Chara misconceptions. As a Chara fan, I say we should burn every person who even thinks of drawing either of them at the stake.
That point can also be said about Geno. Geno's story depicts Chara as a villain too. Villainizing children is bad. Not to mention he admits to wanting to hurt said child.
Error is a murderer canonically. Seeing people draw him makes me sick.
And Fresh? Fresh is possessing a corpse, something that is acknowledged multiple times. And he can canonically censor words, I don't think we should be spreading art of someone who is silencing people!
We should also kill Horror. We know what their creator draws with him and Aliza on their Patreon. And even if that wasn't the case, the fact that he canonically abuses a child in his OG comic is Horrific.
Quick, think, who else is cancel worthy.
Epic is canonically attracted to Frisk while acknowledging they're a child, I don't EVER want to see people drawing him again. But, he's also canonically dead so I GUESS you can draw his corpse.
Lust Sans.
Ink's story can be interpreted to support him taking drugs, meaning that his creator supports drug use and that Ink himself does drugs. Nobody ever draw Ink again.
I don't want to see people draw Dream. His creator, Joku draws Dream looking like a child while shipping him with adults. Never draw Dream in ships, or at all. And extend that to Nightmare. Nightmare is problematic too. He is an immortal being possessing a child's body. Any ship involving him is inheritly pedophilic.
Don't draw or mention Cross either. Jakei and Joku are friends, first of all, and Jakei draw a comic where Cross sexually assaults Dream. And since we're on the topic of Jakei, we should stop supporting Underverse in it's entirety.
Actually, you know what? Everyone quickly dogpile Toby Fox himself. He shipped a monster and a human (Gerson and the human Gerson talks about), that means he supports beastiality! And he made a rock opera about a 13 year old getting pregnant from another 13 year old tro give birth to his also 13 year old old best friend! He made 2 games where you can choose to force children to kill people! I can't believe we have this man TWO fandoms!!!2!!
Back to my original point.
Please, for the love of God, stop caring so much. I may not identify with proshippers bc I feel like there's a difference between complicated pairings that could be interesting, and literal child rape. (Please ffs don't call me a comshipper bc of that either, if anything call me a lifeshipper bc I have a life, job and hobbies)
