Other things to consider: average wizard lifespan is 137.5 years old (with a few radicals upwards of multiple centuries, including but not limited to Nicholas Flamel). Is this just because they have access to better healthcare (really, what’s osteoporosis with things like skele-gro), or because they don’t age at the same rate Muggles do?

Do you think there were lots of wizards and witches traveling to the new world after the no-fraternization laws were passed?.. I mean perhaps the more pure 'muggles are beneath my notice anyways' crowd but the general wizarding populace? or do you think most said 'they're insane.. no opportunity is worth that kind of restriction'. I'd personally hope for the latter.

I would NOT imagine so. With such a nasty law in place, that would severely restricting. Which would potentially help fuel and even MORE isolationist policy of the MACUSA.

Rappaport’s Law enforced strict segregation between the No-Maj and wizarding communities. Wizards were no longer allowed to befriend or marry No-Majs. Penalties for fraternising with No-Majs were harsh. Communication with No-Majs was limited to that necessary to perform daily activities.

Interesting. My headcanon that Magical secrecy was more lenient in America was wrong, but here’s another interesting piece of information. 

This common endeavour led to no softening on MACUSA’s stance on No-Maj/wizard fraternisation, and Rappaport’s Law remained firmly in place. By the 1920s the US wizarding community had become used to existing under a greater degree of secrecy than their European counterparts and to selecting their mates strictly from within their own ranks.

This law was still in affect by at least the 1920s, if it’s not currently still in place. 

Which... could possibly mean some horrifying scenarios for muggleborns (like Tech) and squibs (like Sky) which could be really interesting.

Possible cultural differences with American and British robes:

Was talking with @vividfizz about what differences might be seen between British and American robes. Obviously a lot is up to individual taste, but there are still patterns, such as the difference between American and British suits.

Whereas typical British robe-styles descend from the European medieval robes, typical American robe-styles descend more from the old Puritan cloaks. Possibly with the buckles. Suits with capes over them, instead of being a full garment with sleeves. 

Which can be heavily morphed into something like Tech’s duster, or something like this, or this.

Area 51 is too well-known for a wizarding school (besides, the American Congress of Magic uses it for things far too important for mere educational purposes). The closest thing you'll find is actually located in an abandoned hanger near the Air Force Institute of Technology in Wright-Patterson AFB. Lots of aeronautical and cyberspace wizardry going on there. Many students volunteer at the Air Force Museum, putting their magical and technical talents to use restoring antique airplanes.

One of the more well-known magic schools in Florida is literally in the Harry Potter rides at Universal Studios in Orlando (the story of Harry Potter is the only modern wizard legend largely known to muggles, which was turned into a multimedia entertainment franchise to divert attention). Look for the park-goers who don't seem as excited, sunburned, or worn out, and you'll find the students, as they've already been on all the rides a thousand times.

Sad-headcanon warning. There would need to be some kind of protection agency in Oklahoma for kids who get kicked out for 'worshipping devil-magic' or whatever, unfortunately. Probably for a lot of the South and some places in the Midwest, too.

Well, really, it kinda applies every place. There’s probably always been something around to help those kids. I would think each country’s Ministry of Magic/Magical Government probably has people who swoop in to help those kids.

Since, according to Rowling’s latest writing, it confirms that magical kids have been thrown out of households for being magic (sometimes on purpose to keep magic out of the family bloodline in a weird reverse blood-purity situation).
