can you explain to me how the fuck the writers expect this show to be a thing if it wasnt for will and alice's chemistry. cyrus and alice are so boring oh my god do they think people like those kind of couples on tv????? people like banter and longing looks and fUCK WHY ARE THEY DOING THIS

this is seriously huge and kind of negative opinion? idk

i decided to watch bc i’m a huge ouat fan. so i thought about giving a try to ouatiw bc of obvious reasons. but i wasn’t all excited, looking for spoilers or anything, i was just waiting to see. i watched the first promo and i really liked, it sounded interesting. it was in that promo that i got like “i’ll love the Knave i’m sure” and that’s what happen. i started to ship knalice before the show even aired, and maybe this is part of the problem but what can i do right? the ship chooses you. and then the first episode came out.

the moment i saw them together i knew my shipper heart was right and they became the otp of the show, even with the show showing Cyrus as the love of Alice’s life. after the episode i got really excited and i was looking for spoilers and then i found out what everyone was saying about knalice: just a friendship. you can see a meta i wrote after the episode one here. i was so disappointed! i watched the episode one more time to try see the Alice/Cyrus true love, and i just couldn’t see it. what i saw was a puppy love (lets call this for a lack of a better expression), a kind of “teenager first love”. and this was the first thing that bother me. bc Alice is a very strong character, at least they’re trying to portrait her as such. she is the kind of woman who would do anything for her love, who is capable of anything she wants, so suddenly that puppy love just doesn’t seems a thing that would be enough for her character. the other thing that bother me is how quickly their relationship goes. like, really fast. and i don’t like this. i like to see the development. i like to see the best and the worst of the characters and how they deal with this. Alice met Cyrus and in what two days (?) she fell in love with him?

she said he was everything she wished for. and i get it. like she was this girl from our world who find this land and it’s amazing and when she comes back her family thinks she is crazy. the people who she loves the most don’t believe in her. then she met Cyrus, who is a genie and can make anything possible. who can change her life, make her happy. he is charming and handsome, of course she would fall in love with him. and he falls for her more fast then i can type bottle. i didn’t understand. what i see in their relationship is a love for the ideal of something. and there’s nothing wrong with that if this was what started their relationship, not being the reason why they love each other. i feel like Alice is fighting for her ideal of love. she is searching for him because she is desperate holding into this love bc she doesn’t want to let it go of her dreams, her magic, her truth that nobody believed her. and to me this is simply how i see, and is not “an epic love story”. to me is not true love, bc true love there’s a lot more than this.

which bring me to her relationship with Will. i won’t talk about Will and Anastasia too much bc simply we don’t know everything about their story. what i can say is that he was as much naive as Alice. he got screwed over and got his heart broken. we can clearly see that he wants to move on, but he goes back to Wonderland bc of Alice. i honestly think their relationship is much more deeper than Cyrus/Alice. everything begins with the whole “Alice got back his heart” which to me it could be more than just literally, but also figuratively by the meaning of she making him love again. and i think this is beautiful. he is so broken, you can see in his eyes and by the way he talks about love. and Alice is so determinated, she could totally make him believe in love again, even more if he was indeed in love with her. his determination to move on from Anastasia would be a lot better if he indeed moved on and got his happy ending with someone else who didn’t broke his heart but instead, gave him his heart back and showed it is possible to love again.

i think the main reason why i ship them is these ones. and also the fact that they have so much more chemistry then anyone else in the show! i’m sorry Cyrus (i even like him, i really do) but his relationship with Alice is not strong enough. they’re boring. for real tho, they are boring. their kisses are boring. I MEAN COME ON, their first kiss was that? jfc. i want passion and true love kisses that make me believe is really true love kisses. i want development! don’t show me their entire story in one episode and expect me to believe in their love, this just doesn’t happen. instead they’re showing us knalice, their journey together, how they interact and how much they care about each other. and the amount of possibilities for them is just too good to waste.

i’m not gonna lie, i really want to see more of Will and Anastasia story to know better how he end up like that. but i’ll be seriously disappointed if they’re end game. the same goes for Alice and Cyrus. i really don’t know why they’re doing this but i still have hope.

edit: i just thought about the whole Will’s heart thing, and if the point of the show is to Alice save her love, by giving back his heart and making him love and happy again could be some kind of “saving” right?

But i thing every Mervel's movie, The Fountain, every movie about Sherlock Holmes, Red riding hood, Incepction, The Illusionist, The Star Trek rebot 1 and 2, Love Actually, Atonement, The Prestige, The Intouchables and a lot more... I don't know I love to much movies xD
