let’s just call this...a learning experience. the picture doesn’t quite do it justice but that’s 17 rows unraveled. one of my biggest anxieties with knitting and crocheting is investing a whole lot of time into a project that i then have to take apart (or pull out completely) because of some irreversible mistake. im impatient but also a major perfectionist— a combination that really clashes with an art that is just as much about the journey as it is the final product. so once ive mourned my lil baby stitches, im going to take away what ive learned: it’s better to rip the bandaid off at row 17 than row 30, that 137 chains on a yarn weight of 3 will not match 137 chains on a 4, and taking this picture after the cat’s seen it requires speed and a hell of a lot of distraction ✨ . . #yarn #knitters #knitting #knitstagram #knittersofinstagram #crochet #crocheting #crochetersofinstagram #handmade #lionbrandyarn #lionbrand #poundoflove #weareknitters #woolandthegang #lifestyleblogger #blogger

Quick and dirty try-on over my pajamas—the seaming is completed! I need to do maybe two duplicate stitches, you can see one in the front, but it is complete! I altered the pattern by making the arms and shoulders one size larger than the body—I can’t stand that feeling of reaching for something and my garment tightening up on me, and I wanted this super slouchy and happy. My plan worked perfectly. And the arms aren’t too long, which was a concern, considering I’m short. So I am well chuffed.
