Novel is Povi's best friend and guard.
She is quite small, and hasn't aged since she was first given to Povi. Because of this, the two have sort of grown apart, with Novel now acting like a little sister. Still, it is her duty to protect Povi from danger, no matter how annoyed Povi gets!
Because of her young age, Novel is very energetic and friendly. But she can be very cautious because of her job. She was built by a mysterious toy maker to keep Povi safe. Povi was probably never going to learn her family's magic, so Novel is there just in case.
Somehow, Novel was equipped with a very powerful array of abilities. This includes forbidden soul magic. Her form is similar to the reaper Malice, as they both can manipulate the souls of living beings. Novel's abilities are less refined however, since she doesn't use them nearly as often. Still, she is capable of altering a person's physical form through the manipulation of their soul. She can do this through touch or through her weapon: a giant lollipop. She keeps this somewhere on her person at all times, but usually in a smaller size. When necessary, the weapon can grow and stretch as necessary.
Novel takes her duties as Povi's guardian very seriously. She even attends classes she's clearly too young to take in order to stay by Povi's side. One of her main missions is to keep Povi away from bad influences. This includes, but isn't limited to: suspicious people, demons, rivals from other countries, and ugly people.
