≡ OFF CAM !! KIM YONGSIN
(in which you give him a last chance to redeem himself ๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵) : 720 wds : fluff + established relationship : blurted out on a random tuesday, not sure what the vibe is but yorch is perfect either way.
you checked the time on your phone once more hoping you wouldn’t have to wait longer than these five minutes. you felt dumb falling for the promises he made each time, but you couldn’t help but hope for a little change.
just as you glanced up from the texts you shared, after reconfirming that you weren’t the one who was too early, you felt a firm hand slide on your back—around your waist. you looked up to find the owner of the rough fingers caressing your waist, a face you knew too well.
without having to say anything he knew you had already forgotten that he wasted ten minutes of your time, his usual playful smile on his lips washing away all the annoyance that had been on your mind.
“hey princess.” he leaned in placing a soft kiss on your temple, gently pulling you closer by the waist.
you hated that he was right, that you could only feel happy seeing him smile instead of being mad that he ever made you wait. you turned your head away from his lips, letting out a low scoff as you started making your way to the venue.
his quiet chuckle rang in your ears as he followed behind. eventually he caught up, and you let him take your hand in his, tangling your fingers together as you walked side by side. you could feel his gaze on you, persistent just waiting for you to forget his carelessness once again. his fingers, despite holding onto yours, reaching for you trailing the bare skin on your waist ever so slightly.
"you're so cute when you're like this." he laughed turning his head away, genuinely amused. you looked up at him with a frown, unsatisfied with the results you were getting.
"like what?" the sound of your voice brought his eyes back to you, a soft smile drawn on his lips as he cupped your face in his hand.
"like this." you watched him with a slight pout on your lips, slowing your pace as the distance between you gradually grew non-existent.
once his lips pressed a soft peck against yours, he searched your gaze once again only to be met with a deeper frown. he let go of you, looking closely at your expression as his own features grew more wary, worried he had genuinely upset you.
he tried not to make it obvious how bothered he was that his kiss didn’t break the shell, melting the frown away. you could tell from that moment that his smile and reactions were controlled, calculated to not anger you any further.
it wasn't a long walk to your friends' place but those last minutes felt delicate. you watched him in the corner of your eye, lost in thought occasionally stretching his hand towards yours--swinging gently by your side.
at the door step before you could get the chance to ignore him for the rest of the night, he pulled your hand away from the bell, stopping you notifying the others of your presence. you looked up at him with a straight face waiting for him to release your hand, the look on your face made his brows twitch upward, eyes widening with concern.
he groaned quietly bringing your hand to his face to rest on his cheek. you knew what was coming from the saddened downwards curve in his eyebrows, to his inability to hold eye contact with you for a couple seconds.
"i'm sorry baby." he sighed lowering his forehead to rest on yours, his warm needy breaths pressing against your skin.
"yeah?" your voice was quiet, barely a whisper.
he nodded bringing your palm to his lips to press kisses against the tender skin. you tried to hide your satisfaction, keeping on the poker face that had worked so well.
"forgive me hmm?" as he spoke his eyes stayed fixed on yours, so close you felt the warmth from your nerves settling around your face.
for a moment your gaze shifted, an unexpected moment of hesitation. his expression deepened further, a silent plea manifesting in his round puppy eyes.
“please. i’ll be good this time.” he begged, letting his head rest on your shoulder in a final surrender. without saying anything you placed your hand on his head, gently soothing his worries away.
