—— HER STOMACH GROWLED to the point she was positive that others around her could hear. however, as she was on her way to somewhere to eat, she was searching for her wallet in her backpack. until she realized she didn’t have it. ❝shit,❞ she said quite loudly before sighing. only two ideas came to mind and it was either going back to her apartment to fetch her wallet then get food or try to borrow money from someone. she chose the latter. licking her lips, she glanced around her surroundings before tapping on a shoulder of the next person she laid eyes upon. ❝hey. uh... do you mind if i borrow maybe eight dollars?❞

it had been months since she saw any of these people. as she walked through campus, she knew everyone was staring at the scar on her neck. and she knew that they were surprised she even came back. they had every right to be surprised. she just wished they’d stop staring at her like she was an urban legend brought to life. it only took a few more minutes before her anxiety started to set in and she found herself turning back around and running. where to, she didn’t know. just away from the staring eyes. just as she got to the edge of campus, she felt herself collide with something --- or someone --- and she ended up on the ground. but she didn’t get up. she just stayed there, sitting, her head resting in her hands, and tears that finally fell streaming down her face. “sorry,” her voice cracked. “i wasn’t paying attention.”

“This is some straight up nonsense, these people don’t know how to drink--or listen to some decent music.” Monet eyed the room for a moment before heading another room of the party blaring in some godforsaken frat hall. She’d agreed to meet someone from her class and figured there was nothing better to do, though she soon realized it was a mistake when her classmate texted her that she couldn’t make it. At that point she grabbed a drink and was about to head out when she was caught off guard. “This is whack.”

" SHIT ! " she cursed abruptly. She roughly slipped her hands into both of her pockets in search for the keys. They weren’t there. Indigo kissed her teeth and lifted her cap in frustration, only for a clinking sound to the ground to be followed afterwards. She gazed at the floor and there were the keys, she didn’t hesitate to bend down and swipe up the keys and pressed the car key to unlock the car. Sadly this is was nothing knew, it was just another daily routine in which Indigo happens to be late, and forgets easily where she places things. She rushed to the car and slammed the door shut and threw her cap back on, a sigh of relief escape her lips. She smiled to herself.  " At this rate, I think i will be able to make it on time. Please let there be no intrusions, " she intertwined both her fingers together in front of her chest and shut her eyes tightly. 

" AHEM ! " She slowly opened one eye, the other one following. There was someone in the car, she literally just wished for no intrusion and literally received one. Squinted her eyes, she slowly turned to the intruder. 

" Nope. Get the fuck out. I’m not a chauffeur or a uber of any sorts, I just need to get this car back before my boss shows up, so make your way ou- and you have fucking snacks in the car ?! are you crazy dude ? "

after he was done cutting up the plantains, he tossed them into a bowl and mixed it with a sprinkle of salt and waited as the oil was ready. his eyebrows knitted together as he had multiple thoughts roaming through his on what could go down at the party, his rested his clear glove covered hands on the counter and observed the university students outside the kitchen. there were only two reasons why kaden took it upon himself to cook at this party, one he needed a cover to observe everyone and second the food here did no justice, so he took it upon himself to cook for himself. his thoughts vanished when he heard the sound of the oil popping, it was ready. he added the plate of uncooked plantains into the pan of oil. when he had done that a little tiny ounce of oil jumped up at his face and he instantly took a quick step and hissed. he heard laughter and quickly turned around to face the laughing culprit. “ so, did you know that was gonna happen or something ?  why the fuck are you laughing ? “ he let out a tsk, “ hope you know that the food i am currently making ? you won’t be getting shit, instead i will be laughing that you guys are eating shit food here, ” he commented with a shrug of his shoulders.

“um uh....” he was daydreaming per usual and he happened to be staring straight at someone else without realizing it. his mind seemed to wander a lot in a mindless place like this. oz has always been mindless about his actions a lot. for a second he could feel his cheeks flush a bright red. he had wondered how long he was staring at the other person and for a moment he wished that he was back in his own thoughts but they were looking at him like he was crazy or sick or something along those lines. “no no no, i’m sorry. i just uh-- spaced out. y’know those things happen sometimes i uh-- i wasn’t looking at you weirdly what are you talking about?” he asked slightly hitting the others shoulder in a joking manner as he leaned against the wall trying to play it off as cool but totally missed the wall and stumbled awkwardly ending up resorting to crossing his arms over his chest. “i’m just going to uh--- not talk anymore. i think that would be a better idea for everyone but y’know i’m known to talk until i forget to breath. anywhoo. uh yea. sorry.” he said finally taking a deep breath awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck.
