This is an easy workout -- if you're in shape. I am decidedly not in shape. For the first half I was thinking, 'this isn't so bad. I can do something more intense.' By the second half, I was glad I didn't push myself any harder. I've had a bad habit of trying to work out like I used to and then hurting OE exhausting myself. I'm learning to be humble and ease back into things.
Back to the basics. Power 90 looks so dated -- well, I guess it is pretty dated at this point. But it's still a good workout. I thought it might be too easy, but no, it's not. I am really out of shape. It's humbling.
Completed Power 90 3/4 Cardio. I lost my 1/2 DVD years ago so I have to jump right into the intensive shit. Dave cheered me on even though I kept repeating “I’m out of shape.” over and over and over again.
After Cardio I did the Ab Ripper and could only complete half without laughing hysterically while my abs died.
And I found these size 12 jeans and deemed them mini goal pants!
Day 2
Power 90 3/4 Sculpt
With 3/4 Tony pushes a 4th sequence which I made myself do. The weights, squats and lunges don’t give me issues…I mean I feel the work out and all…but I didn’t start wanting to cry like a weak punk during it. Nope. Push-ups do that. I’ve ALWAYS had issues with push-ups because of my damn wrists. But I think that I’ll be able to complete these by the time the 4th week rolls by. Used five pound weights.
Oh. I woke up sore this morning. The last time I did this workout was back in March so yeah. I’m out of shape.
Just got to keep on keeping on, right?
Day 3
Power 90 3/4 Cardio and Ab Ripper
Jeeeeeeeeeeesus. I woke up sore as hell. My butt couldn’t get out of bed for a while but as soon as I was out of it I went and did my workout. I pushed myself as much as I could but didn’t want to risk an injury; especially since my damn implant in my ankle started acting up.
Either way I finished it! I planked out on the floor afterwards and Coco came up to give me her little kisses of encouragement.
I’m going to Hunt, TX this weekend so I’ll need to pack my P90 DVD and do the YT link that Cailin posted since Haley still has my DVD books. (I have some other workout DVDs in there that I need to get from her.)
Day 4
Power 90 3/4 Sculpt
Was able to achieve more push ups this time around, but not the full circuit. That will more than likely take a month to month and a half. I’m determined! I kept picturing Chord doing the push ups and jump ropes and it kept me going. I know I don’t want to be super muscular but it does drive me to imagine that.
Akia did this outdoor boot camp yesterday and I really want to go. So I need to bust my ass just to make sure I don’t conk out during the first ten minutes.
Day 5
Power 90 3/4 Cardio and Ab Ripper
This workout was harder than the one I did on Wednesday. I’m convinced it has to do with the change of altitude as I’m up on a hill. Dave’s mom lives on the top of one and we’re visiting.
Since I don’t have bands of weights here I’ll have to do a YT workout tomorrow that doesn’t rely on them. Al keeps telling me to try Zumba so I may do that if I can find a decent one.
Decided to take my Before pics today.
Day 6
Did a lighter day. I incorporated different weight, squats and push-ups to a 10 min workout. Dave said that my form has improved with my squats and push-ups so that made me happy.
I bought new sports bras, workout pants and tanks today. The pants and tanks are a wee bit tight but I prefer it that way for motivation. And I needed new bras because my old one was worthless when it came to jumping jacks, running and jump lunges.
Day 7
Power 90 3/4 Sculpt
I did it! I survived a week! I had my doubts but kept pushing myself. Did start to feel some pain in the area that I injured a few weeks ago in a car accident so I reduced the reps. New week starts tomorrow! Eleven more to go.
My weight is a few pounds higher this week due to increased appetite which I'm still trying to get under control. But I'm not all that concerned about it right now.
