Christmas is over. And if you feel the New Year looming ahead with uncertainty, that is not a bad thing! Because what we have been taught about uncertainty is all wrong. We set strict goals and have expectations for the future in order to desperately avoid uncertainty. Then we project desires, hopelessly trying to convince ourselves and anyone else around, that that is what the future will bring. Diligently, we struggle to distract ourselves from change by allying with certainty. Because by grasping on to even a fragment of certainty, we keep the illusion of control while change is all around us. Science and philosophy teach us that change is constant. Every day change occurs and eventually energy balances. So, we can choose to embrace disorder, change and move, or stay in one place and battle for certainty. It isn’t uncommon to search for a sense of stability when chaos erupts. But it is often forgotten that order happens naturally, afterwards. And with change, of course there is a lot of uncertainty. And that is where it is important to be according to successful inventors and business moguls. Because that is where perfectly timed opportunities appear which propel them into possibility! All because they embraced uncertainty, something that most people have been trained to fear! Anxious and ambivalent about what could happen next most people torment their bodies and minds with uncertainty. Sure, certainty and uncertainty are just another pair of concepts in duality. And persuasion and dogma convince us that these are certain and guaranteed. But is anything really certain, and doesn’t believing that something is only keep us unaware of the amazing power of uncertainty? So, this New Year, instead of habitually focusing on certainty, why not creatively entertain uncertainty instead? Why not allow it to give you true possibility, not just what you or others believe is possible? And without being attached to the outcome, why not co-create what you want to occur in every present moment and embrace the power of uncertainty’s possibilities, wholeheartedly?! 💚Julie https://www.instagram.com/p/CmsGZShujG0/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
