Nah, Buttons(Depending on the continuity) are pretty much useless.
Alpha!Frisk is by far the best button user, having more determenation than any human in the Alphaverse only ever challenged by Supreme!Neutral Frisk and Bio!Frisk two other individuals who realize the flaws with buttons.
Button work conditions and things to remember:
You Need to be stronger, out-scale or transcend the opponent.
Your Button either needs haxs that counter the power gap or it will flop
Buttons are a type of hax, not a overall reliable ability cause they can be out-scaled or out haxed too.
Buttons don't work on everyone. Some examples are like the ones before.
Alpha!Frisk is too strong for Buttons.
He's transcended the scope of conceptual haxs and is pretty much immune to Time and Space related Hax when it comes to beings weaker than him(This does show up in the main story as something he can casually shrug off and is in the story Pantheon of Beings.)
He has too much DT to overcome. Determenation in AlphaTale isn't the same as it is in Undertale, but instead was taken to the extreme. Having enough DT pretty much allows one to say nope to reality in the brutalist way possible.
Supreme!Neutral Frisk out haxs you.
From passive reality warping negation to being able to do whatever he wants with Concepts themselves; S!Neutral Frisk is immune to buttons due to being a hax machine.
Some notable Haxs he has:
All Damage that is inflicted on him is reversed back onto the attacker ten fold.
He transcends concepts as a whole and can bend, recreate, destroy and manipulate anything he wants conceptually. That includes buttons and what they do.
He negates reality warping via his very mind rejecting any other world than the one he resides in.
Controls fate and Casuality.
Your wrong and I'm right: This is an ability to which if Frisk finds something wrong with the ability you used or sees that it doesn't make sense to him; He can question it and if it doesn't add up to him than it won't work on him. Not only that, but you won't be able to use that ability so long as he lives.
Haxs are a notable way to bypass/Ignore the abilities and powers of others. Including Buttons.
