Ppacs [fa:ts] is my most developed conlang. One peculiarity about it is that it has no verbs, at least in the way most languages do. Instead, the predicate of a sentence is also a noun phrase.

I nesz phal: the house red = The house is red.

Pi al-yeglisos de dzi: I person-seeing [acc] you = I see you.

I dzisa a u i nesz: the book thing in the house = The book is in the house.

Pi-yeglisos de hi lodos: I-seeing [acc] [3p sg] happy = When I see her, I'm happy.

The northern dialect of Ppacs has an unusual feature that is often mocked by speakers of other dialects: the final sound of a phrase is lengthened and pronounced with creaky voice. This can become quite extreme in casual conversation, where these extended sounds are used instead of filler words.

Ppacs has very systematic kinship terms, which were devised to ease communication between the different dialects, because the traditional terms are extremely varied. For example, "nana" in the south means big sister or cousin, while in the north it means grandma.

Western and Eastern Midrhaian are two languages related to Ppacs. They are mutually intelligible but have vastly different orthographies. While EM uses almost phonetic spelling, WM orthography hasn't changed much since the time of Midrhaian and Ppacs's common ancestor. For example, this sentence means "I speak Midrhaian.":

EM: Pe Melpheihil liblauvi. /pe melfei'çil liblau'vi/

WM: Pi Midlhaikil livluivis. /pi 'miwfi:kiw 'łibłø:vi/

Nouns in Ppacs have two numbers, singular and plural. The plural is usually formed with the suffix -m/-em. Some nouns that often come in pairs have an irregular plural derived from a historical dual number:

glisos, glies = eye, eyes; argos, arkh = ear, ears.

The plural is only used to refer to a discrete group, a general statement is formed with the singular.

I loldihem am-yegarabla de carbolm: the snakes things-devouring [acc] elephants = These specific snakes are devouring elephants.

I loldih a-yegarabla de carbol: the snake thing-devouring [acc] elephant = The snake is devouring an elephant. / Snakes in general devour elephants.

Nouns in Ppacs can be devided into two classes: people (al) and non-people (a).

I uto al-veye: the human person-coming = The person is coming.

I an a-veye: the goat thing-coming = The goat is coming.

There are some nouns that are treated as people even though they are something else, for example countries and cities, because they represent the people that live in them.

Phanali al-yeblub de phacs: Ppanali person-speaking [acc] Ppacs = The people in Ppanali speak Ppacs.
