Review of slave Jeff Sterling
I consulted with the infirmary staff and inspected the slave myself to assess the damage done. Nothing was broken or permanently damaged. There are a few marks from his rental with Master Clarington that may scar on his back and he will be battered and bruised for the next couple weeks. He should be cleared for rentals in a few more days as long as the renting Master keeps and play to the lighter side. The issue of most concern is his wrists. Even before I left the island I had noticed they were chafed and raw, but I had thought it was due to resistance and would settle itself soon enough. Now I believe that the problem stems from a natural urge to be in motion, possibly from his history as a dancer. It is not a problem other than when he is cuffed. My and the infirmary staff’s recommendation would be to leave him uncuffed until the wrists have fully healed. While with most slaves this would be far too risky, I believe threat of harsh punishment and a tracking collar would suffice to keep him in line while he heals. After he has, it would be best to have padded cuffs that will prevent further injury as it could cause permanent damage. I have in my possession a suitable pair that I can instruct the guards to switch for the usual metal ones. While I believe Master Clarington may have pushed the slave slightly further than allowable, it does not seem to be something that requires more than a reprimand and warning at this time. Reassessment may be necessary if it happens again.

Very well Master Johannson. I will have Master Smythe include changing the cuffs in his repairs. For the time being, it will be placed in a temporary holding cell where it will be held under heavier supervision until its wrists are fully healed. I will take your other suggestions under consideration.
