What’s happening era is probably my fav? Besides being my fav mini album it’s just glorious in every way just A+. And aaahh I remember the first time I saw his red hair, there was a fan meet where he had his hair parted and they all were wearing black suits (and there was a red curtain as a bg) THAT was a look. Have you seen the new light stick? I wonder why they changed it now? I’m kinda sad cause even if it wasn’t the most stylish it was unique. It had that quirkiness that the boys have too ~M

OK SO WHAT’S HAPPENING IS ALSO MY FAVORITE MINI AND IT’S ALSO MY FAVORITE ERA AS A WHOLE FOR ALL OF THEM SO YES I GET DOWN WITH THIS ANSWER!!!

Like, admittedly I don’t think I’d pick it as my fave era for CNU in particular (still think Solo Day is my number one, followed closely by Good Timing era), but in its entirety, I absolutely adored the styling for What’s Happening era (especially for Jinyoung!! My god he looked so perfect he pulled every look off, I could honestly scream and rant for a solid 3 hours about What’s Happening era Jinyoung like I know I’ve said it before but I don’t think people understand how seriously trash I was for him that era 😅😅 )

OK AND ALSO? NOT EVEN KIDDING THE LOOK YOU JUST MENTIONED WAS THE EXACT LOOK I HAD IN MY MIND AS MY FAVORITE FOR HIM DURING GOOD TIMING ERA TOO!! (ARE YOU READING MY MIND?! 😄😆)

honestly when I saw this I had to shove a fist in my mouth to keep from barfing because he looked that good I actually was ill (kidding of course but only partly).

And ah yes, the lightstick. I ranted about it here if you want to read my thoughts (this ask made me too happy so I don’t want to ruin the mood by talking about the lightstick here lol but I agree it was quirky and cute and embodied the same vibes that they had when they debuted and it is sad in a way they feel they need to create a new one ;;;) thanks for sharing your thoughts though, M~♡!

with the new lightstick, it is very cute and im happy for the change cause it could mean a fresh start or path. Since im a fairly new bana, im over here thinking "what if i just buy both?" ppyongie is so cute and means so much to banas and b1a4, but the new one can mean a fresh start.

I do hope with these changes comes the start of new projects to look forward to with them, so I’m gonna be optimistic towards it all~

And honestly, I don’t think you could go wrong with getting both! 😊 (I wonder how much these new ones are gonna cost… 🤔)

personally i love this lightstick a lot, and i think it fits them well, but ppyounge is just the cutest lil thing. i love that lil grunge skull. their original lightstick was actually what made me check them out to begin with, so i guess there's a soft spot there. i guess this new one fits them more, though? idk i love both and i'm glad

Aw that’s so cute knowing that’s what got you interested in them~! Ppyongi is cute and endearing, so I think a lot of us just feel a soft spot and some hesitation over the change. But overall, I like the new design. It may not be the most original but it’s still cute and still connects with the fandom~

Same!! (even though mine broke years ago lmao ;;;) but that’s a good way to think about it! Hopefully we be seeing more to come out of WM in the upcoming months and start of the new year~~

I was thinking about how old the B1A4 lightstick yet it like defined who the group is without words but then I got a notification about the new lightstick!I like the new design of it but it just seems so basic and sort of like other groups regarding how it’s sleek and white.I’m torn on how they placed the meaning of B1A4 underneath after everything that happened these past couple of months but I understand where they’re coming from.Idk,it seems like WM is putting effort into Bipo now after years

I think that’s why I’m so torn about it too– like it’s nice to see WM trying to generate some new life and ideas regarding the boys and the fandom. I’m happy they’re opening up the BANA fanclub to new members, and that they’re doing a new fanmeet. And I also love the idea that they’re updating the lightsticks too, like in principle, I have absolutely no qualms about that.

But of course, I agree that the timing of it with all the stress and uncertainty from the last few months makes it’s normal to question why, or more specifically, the motives behind all these changes. Especially with the complete re-design of the lightstick, which was something that was quirky and cute and embodied the awkward innocence the boys had, and changing it to something that is much more simple and sleek in appearance. Then again, the boys are no longer the same either; Like I referred to them in my earlier rant about it, they are no longer the ‘country-dols’ or even ‘sprout-dols’ that they used to go by.

Honestly, as long as they still keep Ppyongi as an available option in addition to the new lightstick, I’m fine. Basically, I feel that they should allow fans to have the choice over which lightstick they want moving forward with A3.

I totally feel you on the new lightstick, hun. Had the same reaction this morning when I saw the update lol. Yes, it's cute, but pyeongee holds a really deep meaning of B1A4. And just look at pyeongee! She's so unique! Totally understand.

Exactly! Like knowing the whole backstory with how she was designed and that the members (particularly Baro) had a hand in designing her just added a sweetness to it all;;

And yes, she was a little odd looking and even a little clunky and awkward but it all added to the charm– no one else had a lightstick like that, you could pick her out to see where the fandom was easily whereas this new lightstick will look very similar to many others that we see during concerts with other groups.

I’m assuming this new lightstick will offer the newer technologies (like allowing the light colors to be synchronized during concerts or to the beat of the song and such), and hopefully it’ll still light up our color green. I think WM is trying to streamline the lightstick so that it looks a bit similar to OMG’s lightstick as well. Hopefully they’ll offer both and not just this new lightstick moving forward!
