Amazing snap from my team ride this weekend. Thanks to Kevin Rhea for the capture; you can see more of his handy work on his Flickr stream (linked off this photo).
I was absolutely gassed going up this hill, I am actually amazed at how composed I look in the snap.

Former youth motocross star Karl ‘Bomber’ Harris died last June 3 after he was involved in a crash on the final lap of the Superstock race at the Isle of Man TT.
According to BBC news, Harris, 34, crashed in the second lap of the 60 kilometer of Mountain Circuit. He met his demise on the area known as “Joey’s Corner.” He is the second casualty in motocross-related incidents this year—both could have been avoided if they wore the safest motorcycle helmets.
The racer from Sheffield was a multiple youth MX champion before switching to Tarmac in the ‘90s. Winner of the inaugural European Superstock 1000 title in 1999, he went on to win three British Supersport titles before making his TT debut in 2012.
“Karl was one of the great characters in the race paddock,” said clerk of the TT course Gary Thompson. “His infectious enthusiasm and sense of humour lit up many race meetings. He was hugely talented racer and will be sorely missed.”
Paying tribute on Facebook, former British champion and world number three Gordon Crockard said—“I don’t show my feelings via the internet but for me this guy deserves everything. I’m going to miss you Karl. Sorry you’re gone already.”
It’s a sentiment echoed by another former British champion and GP winner Stephen Sword who said—“Sad to hear that Karl Harris one of my main rivals in schoolboy motocross passed away today at the TT. Talented rider. RIP.”
Former GP racer Stuart Flockhart also paid tribute on Facebook—“Very sad to hear of Karl Harris’ deat over at the TT today. I followed Karl’s career on the Tarmac after racing with him on the dirt more than 20 years ago with his talent he was one of the best at both. A real racer.”
Ex motocross racer and current World Superbike rider Jonathan Rea said on Twitter—“Terrible hearing that Karl Harris has died. A great guy who’ll be remembered as one of the most naturally gifted on a motorcycle!”
To all hopefuls out there aiming to be the next motocross superstar, always remember to ride safely. Wear the best motocross helmet to avoid life-threatening incidents.

David Johnson builds up to the 2014 IOM TT
After his successful start to the short circuit racing, with a podium finish at the last round of the British Superbike Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship, David Johnson’s confidence is riding high as he turns his focus to the road racing season.
This will be the Australians second year racing under the PR Kawasaki colours and the #16 rider will be looking to improve on his success from last year’s Isle of Man TT appearance in both the Superstock and Superbike classes.
