Adding to that, he was a P5. It is not like he and Scott had a falling out. Those two can probably relate to each other more than the others in regards to their personal fall from grace during the whole ordeal.

How do you feel about Halle Berry though? I and a lot of other fans have no love for her in superhero roles. I think that she’s a fantastic actress but it seems to me like she thinks roles like Catwoman and Storm are below her.

Halle Berry is a good actress, just not somebody that is really attention grabbing for me. Storm is a character I don't traditionally care for either.

Casting did not bother me too much, but it sure did seem like she called that one in.

Putting my reply behind a cut for 'Pacific Rim' spoilers and some official information about potential sequels --

Personally, I don't really want a sequel because I love how it was a self-contained film with a closed happy ending, though I'd love prequels about more of the other teams and global efforts to fight the kaiju. But apparently, Guillermo del Toro said something about extrapolating off how (a) Newt drifted with the kaiju and (b) the American Jaeger blowing up in the alien home-world means it left parts behind, so something about a meld between Jaeger and kaiju? And something about a second version of the American Jaeger (sigh, really wish they would just give it a new name though), but I can't remember if that's the same thing as the Jaeger/kaiju hybrid idea.
