Chris Nolan’s practical effects in ‘Dunkirk’ are breathtaking and amazing and everyone alludes particularly to the scenes of the flying and crashing spitfires, WHICH ARE WONDERFUL, but the practical effect that I will always be amazed at is that in the scene where Fionn is covering his head in the sand while the bombs come closer and closer to him, the sniper right in the background that gets blasted up is literally an actor getting yeeted into the air with a bungee cord
