Practically Royalty || Lucissa
Lucius had gotten the owl notifying him that he would be Head Boy of Slytherin during the summer. Of course, he had been expecting it - he’d always been at the top of his class, and his family had donated a fairly large sum of money for the new Quidditch pitch. His mother and father had been very proud, and had proceeded to tell all their friends about his accomplishment. Lucius didn’t feel like it was that big an accomplishment, but if it made his parents happy, he wouldn’t stop them. He had been sent special robes to wear that would make him more visible to the first years, and for the last few weeks before school started, he had insisted on wearing them around the house. Whether it was because he was uncontrollably excited or just wanted to get used to wearing them he wouldn’t tell, but Abraxas and Seraphina both figured it was the first possibility.
When they arrived at King’s Cross, Lucius kept Lara close to him. No matter that she was a fifth year, he wouldn’t let her out of his sight. He wore his emerald green Head Boy robes, as he would be in charge of keeping the Slytherins and some of the first years under control on the train. He and Lara said their goodbyes to Abraxas and Seraphina, and Lucius made sure that she was securely on the train and in her compartment before he took her bags and his and stowed them on the train. He didn’t trust anyone else with their belongings.
Once he had gotten everything settled, he made his way back to the platform, his head high in his Head Boy robes. He scanned the crowd, searching out any kids who looked confused (or overly excited) and telling them what to do and where to go. He directed them onto the train, mostly, and told them who to give their bags to. From across the platform he spotted her, and immediately puffed up his chest and raised his chin a little higher.
