I wanted to do something different with ideas for my last final portrait. But I wanted to try out a few sketches. At first I thought I would cover the whole background black, but then I thought it could circle around him but then I thought It would be better to leave the background white. I wanted it to be in black and red and for the to pop out more I thought white would be the best fit

Practice Portrait: Dan Avidan | 05.04.18 |

I saw this picture (x) of Dan and thought It would be perfect to do as my one of my final portraits. As shown, I added shading to the face, before in my sketches I would barely add anything. I wanted to add a lot of detail. I also wasn’t too sure about the hair. I have never draw that type of hair before so I was going to practice with that a lot. I also wanted to try something new, since his jumpsuit was sparkly and sequenced, I wanted to add textured paper instead of me drawing it. I felt as though that was going to pop more.
