Clouds in my Coffee

Earlier this week there was rain shower that turned into a thunderstorm before dawn. In those moments of meditation, I marveled how the science of precipitation works. The clouds attract the water molecules from wherever they are; when the clouds are full it released the molecules as rain, sleet or snow depending on the temperature. I related myself to the Cloud and asked myself, "What do I attract?" Whatever I attract, it's coming from everywhere and when I'm full I release it. The circumstances that I'm under will determine the severity of what I'm releasing. Good, Bad or Ugly. Now let’s relate it to dance. Whatever emotions that I store up from time to time: Frustration, Anger, Joy, Depression, Loneliness, Helplessness, Happiness - I attract them from everywhere, from everything, from everybody - music and all.

When I dance, it is a collection of moments not only from the song I’m dancing but also what my senses have taken in, (sight, hearing, spoken, felt etc). All of that comes out when we ‘release’ creatively through dance, arts, singing etc. Conclusion As an artist you are sensitive to these things and it makes you incredibly transparent and vulnerable. With that said, it is very hard to portray an emotion effectively if you are taking in things that are the opposite of what you are doing. For example, how can I dance and communicate peace and love when I’m taking in so much violence and hatred on the radio and television screen. As you go deeper into your artistry you’ll release all of this matters. Solution We as Human Beings are blessed with a having a choice. Unlike the cloud, we can make conscious decisions on what we choose to attract in our lives. If you want better results, make better/‘God’ choices.
