The rules were always simple, even now, even without her wings, there were still ground rules. If she wanted to keep working for Mr Mountjoy, if she wanted to play her part in helping people, then she had to play by the rules; no interfering in their choices and no intervening. We do not intervene. How many times had she repeated that, especially to Zak? But this was different, this wasn’t about one choice, or one person, this was about an entire town, even the world.
So, here she was, making her way to the front door of the Academy, which while she could find it, she couldn’t exactly get into. At least, without her wings, knocking on the door didn’t burn her skin like it might have done.
Tnankfully, when it opened, Mrs S came face to face not with some young student, but the woman in charge. The High Priestess.
“You probably don’t know me, at least I don’t see you often in the town,” It was more the sister and the niece that were seen around the mortals, “But I think we need to talk. It’s about the Pagans”

“Cursed shoes...” Lilith murmured as she looked over the wall that was dotted with footwear, “And this wall....is it a display of a love of curses or a love of shoes?” She asked drily.
@praisedhecate
“Of course I answered,” Hecate said, smiling with a soft certainty at the woman, “I was here long before the Ancient Gods and I’ll be here long after the new ones. I’m here whether people believe in me or not, Zelda Spellman. And when my witches ask for my help, even if they’ve spent their lives asking someone else; I answer. I gave you your sister”
@praisedhecate based on goddess plot,
“Well, you summoned me,” Politely, at least. A spell that had been more...request than command so Lilith hadn’t denied it, instead...allowing herself to be called to the Spellman home. "What was it you wanted to tell me?” She cocked her head in interest at Zelda, “You don’t have the expression of someone wanting to ask for favours...No, you have something you want to share”
@praisedhecate
“Zelds,” Hilda called out, leaning ever so slightly over the kitchen counter to see if her sister was in sight, “I think I might need a little help with getting the cake in the oven...” Nothing, “I’ll let you lick the bowl!” She added, hoping that would do the trick.

Hecate could be a generous Goddess, the All Mother of Witches, giving her gifts gladly to those who paid their respects, who honoured her. But those who hurt her witches, who slaughtered them, saw the dark and violent side that she all too willingly embraced.
The demon had been a sending of something much darker
Blood from the Sending that had arrived in the Academy covered Hecate’s dress and face and even her dark hair, though she had never lain a hand on each of them. Her sword had been unseen, invisible, and had cut through the demon without her lifting a finger...though it had been no wonder he had been able to trap the coven. He had been sent by something much more powerful...as powerful as the Titans,
"He didn’t come from any of these realms. Not even Hell or Hades”
