#dailylife #capturethemoment #Indonesia #explorejogja #pramabanan #photography #xiaomiphotographyindonesia (at Candi Prambanan)

Candi Prambanan or Candi Rara Jonggrang is a 9th-century Hindu temple compound in Central Java, Indonesia, dedicated to the Trimurti, the expression of God as the Creator (Brahma), the Preserver (Vishnu) and the Destroyer (Shiva). The temple compound is located approximately 17 kilometres (11 mi) northeast of the city of Yogyakarta on the boundary between Central Java and Yogyakarta provinces. The temple compound, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the largest Hindu temple site in Indonesia, and one of the biggest in Southeast Asia. It is characterized by its tall and pointed architecture, typical of Hindu temple architecture, and by the towering 47-metre-high (154 ft) central building inside a large complex of individual temples. Prambanan attracts many visitors from across the world.

Our little family! They were really nice and wanted to take pics with us too, I'm guessing they don't get other races at Jogja very often..
Then we went to another temple nearby, I forgot it's name but it was a lot better since it was very empty yet still very magnificent! We took a trolley here.

Leaving Prambanan Temple. We couldn't find a taxi anywhere near the temple and no one would take us back. We met some shady drivers who were willing to drive us, but we were too scared to go with them. We asked so many people along the streets how to get home. With a map in hand, I kept asking ppl where to take the bus. Finally, after many people's instructions and pointing, we found the bus! We boarded the bus and I guessed where to get off and I was right! Yay! Success :)
We went to a mall--Plaza something...and then it was a nice AC'ed mall.
We had dinner/lunch there :) This was so yummy
On our way home, we saw this in an alleyway~
Street art
Amazing art, but scary walking through an alleyway at night...
I thoroughly enjoyed these temples even though the weather was very unforgiving and scorching hot.
Prambanan temple was so amazing, it's so large and to see it so well preserved really shows how Hinduism is so important to them.
Speaking of which, they blast their praying music like 4 times a day--one at 4 or 5 AM. The first night we woke up because the music was so loud, but afterwards we slept right through. Mostly everybody there are Hindus, I would say a good 90%.
