Every year on the 24th in the Nordic countries, they air a Disney Christmas special called “From All of Us to All of You” hosted by Jiminy Cricket, Mickey and Tinkerbell. They have done this every year since 1959. It’s only been infrequently shown in the US since like 1980, but over here it’s a staple.
Also it’s called “Donald Duck and His Friends” in Norway, and "Donald Duck and His Friends Wish You a Merry Christmas" in Sweden, hence just using the shorthand Donald Duck. (Donald is also far more popular than Mickey in Scandinavia.)
In Norway/Sweden, it usually includes the shorts Santa's Workshop, Clown of the Jungle, Pluto's Christmas Tree, Mickey's Trailer, and Ferdinand the Bull. Some are edited down for length or content. (The racist dolls in Santa’s Workshop, for example, is nice that they edited out.)
It also shows scenes from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (The Silly Song), Bambi (young Bambi on the ice), Cinderella (Little Dressmakers), Lady and the Tramp (Bella Notte), The Jungle Book (The Bare Necessities), and Robin Hood (prison break + the love song).
The selection of shorts/scenes varies depending on country, and have also changed over time. Pluto’s Christmas Tree comes to mind.
And lastly it shows a scene from one or two of Disney’s big new releases that year. Like a few years ago it showed the DMV scene from Zootopia, and last year it was a Moana song. As an adult, it’s the only time I end up seeing new Disney stuff in non-English.
In Sweden it is absurdly popular, to the point where 40% of the country watches it every year, with a record half of the population tuning in one year.
It ends on Jiminy Cricket singing When You Wish Upon A Star to a bunch of Disney characters and woodland creatures edited together.
So yeah... Even if not every Swedish person watches it at Christmas, they will definitely know..... donald duck.

I love that they both saw a future together & didn’t question it. It wasn’t like Rey rejected it... like “omg never!” She approaches him with the understanding that he’ll turn for her. And she literally doesn’t doubt it
They know what is in each others’ hearts and THAT is why her rejection of his proposal is all the more heartbreaking.
pranksinatra replied to your post: let eleanor say bi
Don’t see why she has to define herself
because bi characters dont often actually use the word "bi" and it would be nice to actually. yknow. hear it. especially since they keep making "eleanor thinks girls are hot" jokes without actually acknowledging that she could actually be bi, it comes off as biphobic and turns it into a joke instead of smth eleanor could actually be
pranksinatra replied to your post: just-an-outlaw: You know what I want ASP to...
I just want ASP to confirm that the ending represents a loop in the timeline. With Rory representing Lorelei & Jess representing Luke. We don’t need more episodes because we know what happens
Idk if it was a direct answer to my reblog but I’m gonna add that I don’t want/need another season. A part of the cast (Alexis and Milo at least) don’t want to be back, and I totally understand that. But like you said we need answers. It can be a confirmation by interview, or a book… BUT WE DESERVE THIS. I’m so bitter, it was totally unfair to fans. The revival happened because of fans. ASP didn’t respect her story, her characters, her actors and us. We waited so long for AN ENDING not for that disaster.

I would hope it was jess but I honestly think it was nick. Or maybe it was just both of them idk but it happeeeeeneeeed ❤❤❤
pranksinatra replied to your post “okay but when the elevator doors closed do you think jess kissed nick...”
I imagine they rode up in silence for a few quick seconds & then Nick turned to explain himself because obviously she overheard him say: "I'm in love with her." And she couldn't wait & kissed him. And I love how Jess is kissing him when the doors finally open. Like she almost pushes him over. It's so cute lol. And she's on her tip toes❤❤
yess I hope it was jess too!! omg amazing I love that theory
pranksinatra replied to your post: Guys, I’m interested in your opinion: at this...
Apparently Amy & Dan met for negotiations. I wouldn’t be surprised if there wasn’t a second season. Amy has a new series on Amazon. Lauren got picked up for a new pilot on Fox & Alexis is doing a series on Hulu. Unfortunately people are starting to move on, but I wouldn’t lose hope. Netflix is usually flexible with their filming schedules. Upside of streaming is there’s no set timetable so we’ll have to wait & see what happens. I know Lauren said she felt the story was unfinished❤
Yeah, the Palladinos, Lauren and Alexis do seem busy now. I think the audience is moving on too (at least I am lol and my dashboard on tumblr is pretty much dead) so that’s why I feel like they should’ve announced it by now if they’ll do a second season.
pranksinatra replied to your post “One thing that I love about David and Syd’s relationship is that even...”
I'm still hoping for more development there. I do think their love is genuine & I can get on board with that, but it's still lacking that something special... and I think that's from rushing the relationship. I wanted a little more pining
I don’t know if it’s from rushing it? I think it’s they haven’t had too much time to “be a couple” together since they got out of Clockworks. Melanie wanted to run tests on David and get him working with his memories and before you know it he’s stuck in his mind at the end of 1x03 and we know how everything goes after he wakes up. But you’re still getting scenes of them showing some affection and support and stuff which is great. As long as nothing happens with Sydney in the finale (please don’t hurt her), then we’ll hopefully see even more of a progression with them. But having them get together right off the bat, I don’t think was a mistake.
