i really really love otgw so much like. it's just it's own special genre. everything about it is so vague and it feels like an unfinished story in a way, like the little character stories get resolved but it feels like such a complete world that we only saw a fraction of and i'd love to explore more of it. i'm a big fan of alice in wonderland so i love the whole 'down the rabbit hole' thing, plus i love lemony snicket's a series of unfortunate events and how it's very much it's own odd place in time, which are big things i like about otgw too. and i like when our initial ideas and assumptions are challenged and when things aren't as they seem, like we all just accepted wirt and greg's clothes as their normal outfits, but it turned out they were costumes and they're actually from a more modern world than previously thought. every character is so unique and has so much depth, and greg, wirt and beatrice bounce off each other so well, as with all the other characters they meet. it was so weird and different, yet characters had very relatable elements. the art style, the detail, the beautiful soundtrack... the whole story was so much in such a short amount of time and i don't think i'll ever be over how special it is. (i only wish we got more of sara)
