Prayer Update: (Cousin Still Needing Prayer)
So in regards to my latest prayer request, Cousin Mark is still struggling with the cancer in his esophagus. He’s started radiation therapy (has had about 5 days of it currently), and was going to go through two surgeries to have a port installed to help with kemo therapy, as well as a tube to go into his stomach to help give him the nutrition he’s unable to get since he can’t swallow. But the surgeries have been put on hold as he started to get intense pain in his legs - something to do with blood clotting or something about the blood vessels - and has had to be put on more pain killers for that as well as blood thinners. I believe he’s only recently been taken off the blood thinners and is scheduled to have those two surgeries this week.
Now I’m hoping this ordeal with his legs has been God’s way of preventing these two invasive surgeries from happening before he gets the opportune chance to heal Mark. Mark has gone through a lot, but I and a lot of my family truly believe God intends to completely heal him. We are hoping for a miracle and for Mark to be a living testimony. But we are also hoping this suffering will come to an end soon.
However Mark and his family have been touched and encouraged by the mass amount of support from friends, family, and other folks in their lives who have come in their time of need. And Mark has noted that Jesus has not left him during this time and can feel his peace in all of it.
Lord, I and fellow believers pray for Mark and his healing. We wish to see more wonderful things happen and we believe we will get to see that. Thank you and Amen.
