My Lord, I offer You myself in turn, as a sacrifice of thanksgiving. You have died for me, And I in turn make myself over to You. I am not my own. You have bought me: I will, by my own act and deed, complete the purchase. My wish is to be separated from everything of this world; To cleanse myself simply from sin; To put away from me even what is innocent, If used for its own sake and not for Yours. I put away reputation and honour and influence and power, For my praise and strength, shall be in You. Enable me to carry out what I profess Amen

O my God, suffer me still, bear with me in spite of my waywardness, perverseness and ingratitude! I improve very slowly but really, I am moving onto heaven, or at least I wish to move. Only give me Thy grace meet me with Thy grace, I will, through Thy grace, do what I can and Thou shall perfect it for me. Then shall I have happy days, in Thy Presence and in the sight and adoration of Thy five Sacred Wounds. Amen

O Most Sacred, most loving Heart of Jesus, You are concealed in the Holy Eucharist and You beat for us still. Now, as then You say, “With desire I have desired.” I worship You the, with all my best love and awe, with my fervent affection, with my most subdued, most resolved will. You, for a while, take up Your abode within me! O make my heart beat with Your Heart. Purify it of all that is earthly, all that is proud and sensual, all that is hard and cruel, of all perversity, of all disorder, of all deadness. So fill it with Thee, that neither the events of the day nor the circumstances of the time, may have power to ruffle it but that, in Your love and Your fear, it may have peace. Amen.

O my God, whatever is nearer to me than You, things of this earth and things more naturally pleasing to me, will be sure to interrupt the sight of You, unless Your grace interfere. Keep You my eyes, my ears, my heart, from any such miserable tyranny. Keep my whole being fixed on You. Let me never lose sight of You and while I gaze on You, let my love of You grow more and more every day. Amen

O my God, holiness becomes Your House, and yet You make Your abode in my breast. My Lord, my Saviour, to me You come, hidden under the semblance of earthly things, yet in that very flesh and blood which You took from Mary, You, who did first inhabit Mary’s breast, come to me. My God, You see me; I cannot see myself… You see how unworthy, so great a sinner is, to receive the One Holy God, whom the Seraphim adore with trembling… My God, enable me to bear You, for You alone can. Cleanse my heart and mind from all that is past… give me a true perception of things unseen, and make me truly, practically, and in the details of life, prefer You to anything on earth, and the future world, to the present. Amen

Wealth or woe, joy or sorrow, friends or bereavement, honour or humiliation, good report or ill report, comfort or discomfort, Your presence or the hiding of Your countenance, all is good if it comes from You, You are wisdom and You are love – what can I desire more? You have led me in Your counsel and with glory You have received me What have I in heaven and apart from You, what want I upon earth? My flesh and my heart fail but God is the God of my heart and my portion forever. Amen
