@Regrann from @bruthawitsoul - This is Makurdi, the capital of Benue State in my home country, Nigeria. The city experienced an incredible amount of rainfall recently and massive flooding as a result. Over 100,000 people have been displaced with more than 3,000 houses destroyed. My heart goes out to the people affected by this tragedy and my thoughts and prayers are with them as we do what we can to help. It's happening in Houston, it's happening in India, it's happening in Nigeria and in cities and towns and communities all over the world! Climate change is real! Natural disasters are becoming more unprecedented in their intensity and appetite for destruction. The sooner the naysaying leaders realize this, the better prepared we all can be. We're all human beings, and at this time, at this crucial moment in our collective history, we have to set aside our differences and work together to help each other pull through this. Let's all pitch in and donate whatever we can to those affected in devasted areas in Houston,Texas, USA, in Makurdi, Nigeria, in Mumbai, India and in other places hit by heavy rainfall and flash floods.
