NYC trip coming to a close // currently four hours away from heading to my 6am flight to make it home for CHURCH and mother's day #loveyoumomma #prayingmyflightdoesntgetdelayed #midnightBABYmidnight NYC highlights: tons of alone time but also not totally alone 'cause hello, city life. walking TONS, company of new and old friends and friendly conversations with locals (balancing the moments with creepers #ughno), learning and picking up tips and tricks to not look super touristy (look straight ahead, buy a hat, earphones help, for example)...just to name a few. oh and a big one, knowing and feeling so, so, so reassured that the city of Toronto is home and will be home for now. Colour Conference highlights: the whole thing OF COURSE. no, but really. made a new (Aussie! #twinsieslol) friend, soaked up all of the goodness of sisterhood, womanhood, and of God. getting subtle nods and nudges from the Lord about the season that I am in with Him. so many, SO much good word shared by amazing, beautiful, but my God, most of all, God-loving women. A thought that struck me hard in the last session of the conference tonight: God has a beautiful place and plan prepared for you. But we, in our world, want it now, want to know everything now, want to take the escalator and not the stairs, look at the shortcut and complain about not taking the shortcut. God has planned a most beautiful place, but now, He needs to PREPARE you for that place. We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised. (Hebrews 6:12) faith & patience, my friends. faith & patience.
