One’s loss

Frederick wished it was a lie.. he wished he could tell Lucina that it was merely a joke; but there was no place in his heart for such humor. If only Frederick had been there to guard Robin from the attack that felled her, she would still be alive -- of that, he was sure. Instead, he could only watch as he attempted to rush to her side..
As Chrom transferred the body to another Shepherd, he instructed them to lay Robin in her bed... and to start the preparations for her ceremony. Of course, Frederick would take the lead in the arrangements... as soon as he was done caring for the remnants of the family.
He stood still, watching as Chrom approached his daughter; he knew he could not interrupt as the consoled each other. He stood quietly, watching over the two. It was a time for mourning, not just for Chrom and Lucina, but for every Shepherd.
Robin would be missed.
