"Those Damned Golden Eyes"

Chapter 2 - Crowley

Chapter 2 is officially up, people! Gotta say I'm really proud of it. I really enjoyed writing it.

It consists of 3 flashbacks from Crowley's life before the beginning - meeting Lucifer, fighting in the war and the Fall itself. The last two gotta be my favourite ones!!!

Here, have a snippet:

“Listen, this war,” Aziraphale sighed, “it doesn't make any sense.”

“Oh, it does. We have something to prove,” the scout got defensive. “Heaven has a serious planning issue that needs to be fixed and somebody has to tell them they're wrong, before it all inevitably backfires.”

Aziraphale didn't say a word but his face conveyed years of suffering and struggle. How long exactly had they been waging this war, the ginger asked himself.

“The Almighty has a plan. I believe it,” the angel still tried to reason.

“Yeah, and there are angels dying out there because of that plan!” said the scout.
