If there’s something you gotta love, it’s the Mushroom Man from the  Tassili n'Ajjer in Algeria. Technically known as the “Mushroom Shaman,” pictures like this most definitely prove the use of hallucinogens for ancient cave people. 

Something I find particularly interesting about cave paintings outside of Europe is how many depictions there are of humans. Obviously, the picture above is not a prime example of the humans they painted, but pictures inside Europe and around it nearly never show humans, and if they do they are almost always naked or part animal, and very rarely carry a narrative. 

But paintings found in India or... Algeria, for example, not only have humans, but give them clothes! Narratives! And stuff like this too.
