Coconut Milk Pre-poo Treatment
Ingredients:
1 tbs of honey
3 of your favorite oils
1 cup of coconut milk
Being a natural hair newbie can be challenging especially if you are new to our terms. One that is extremely important and often overlooked is the pre poo or the process to soften the blow
Second Pre-Poo recipe (Protein Rich Version)
What You’ll need:
1 cup of ripe papaya, yogurt, your favorite deep conditioner (totally optional) and a banana. 1 tablespoon of coconut oil and molasses
Blend all the ingredients together to ensure no lumps/chunks. I personally apply all of my pre-poos to dry undetangled hair but you don’t have to do the same. Section your hair into four sections (once again completely optional). Apply to your hair and place your hair with a plastic cap. Leave in for an hour. Personally I like to go under the dryer for 30 minutes and then use my body heat for the rest of the time. Wash out and style as usual
P.S: Be careful with this pre-poo. Since it has coconut oil and yogurt, this one is packed with protein. Do not follow this up with a deep conditioner that has protein. You may run the risk of your hair feeling like a brillo pad from a protein over load. You can always change out the coconut oil for another oil line jojoba, etc.
