2 SNOW DAYS IN A ROW!!

No, that’s not WHY I’m a teacher… But when I’m worn down as hell because my job is extremely challenging, getting two random paid days off is really nice. (Even if it is the week before Spring Break.) Two extra days to spend working out lessons! Two extra days to figure out how to incorporate “The Lion King” into middle AND high school lessons–while still making them relevant and age-appropriate! Two extra days to spend with my man! Two extra days to start packing for New Mexico (even though I haven’t started)! Two extra days of Spring Break! How did that happen….?!

The Silence

You don't really know how alone you really are until everyone leaves. I'm not talking from a relationship stand point but from a literal stance, as I feel like I'm the last person in this town. If I dare leave my fan off as I lay in bed, the sound of silence becomes so deafening that it could put a swarm of locusts to shame. This is one of those instances in which I can't help being upset about. It's a scary thought, being all alone. Buthey! Spring break starts for me tomorrow; only a couple of days late. I can finally escape the silence and enjoy my week.
