whenever i want to think of will smith hockey as deeply, deeply evil or fucked up i am reminded that he is a highly motivated, dedicated person who follows through on his plans and doesn't lower his expectations. an individual who gets high on baking recipes from tiktok, has a thousand loyal hometown shooters, loves listening to adele, and continues his education in the offseason. who willingly acts a fool breathing into his best friends mouth on the ice for all of god and ryan warsofsky to witness. a boy who is the embodiment of "we are nothing more or less than we choose to reveal."

all while playing in the show that was founded on scraping away the gentler parts of a person. who didn't fully sacrifice himself to that. there's just something about having built an incredible sense of self and then nurturing that confidence, keeping it safe, that makes him magnetic. it's so inch resting to me
