@divinelyembraced (let's not forget how cute lil lev was here)
the fuckin' army.
lev came here to find purpose in his life after camp halfblood failed spectacularly. it .. wasn't camp's fault, it was his own. or maybe poseidon's for claiming him a child of his when ..clearly.. he wasn't. lev had no magical talent within him, not an ounce. why stay in a camp of magical mysteries when … he was not part of it? he was not a mystery, he was not part of their little family & that was okay. it wasn't, but there was no use crying over spilt milk.
it wasn't like lev expected, not at all, but then again he might've come to the texan state guards for … dubious reasons. where else to go when you had nothing? lev had no talents, no skills, no knowledge - or motivation to change that last part specifically. all he was good at: violence. maybe he was ramon's child after all. seemed like it anyway.
sergeant frank johnson. he was their leader, the one they did what they did for, but truth be told, they didn't see him nearly as often as one might think. corporal campbell was the one they answered to & definitely the one who was lev's main target for pretty much everything. but mostly his anger. drills helped, too, though, but it wasn't enough. it never was.
being the only newbie in the group, lev came into it face-first to a wall of ridicule & pity. shorter than them, lankier than them, younger than them. life for lev .. not easy, as per usual. so here he was, doing what he did best. fighting. the guy was taller & broader than him, but that didn't stop him from breaking his nose for calling him a useless twink. sarge was busy, so lev was escorted to the next best thing. corporal campbell.
lev.. knew no guilt, so the soldier that had brought him here would find none on his face, neither would corporal when he opened the door.
