This evening, I went over my notes with friends that will accompany me for my pre-op consultation tomorrow and that was honestly very rewarding talking it through somebody else. I’m so grateful. I know my mom has offered and that my dad probably would agree to go if I asked. But there are parts of my body my parents don’t know, and I don’t see go over well if they learn about it (cough my tattoos). And in a situation like gender affirming surgery I want to be as honest as needed.
