Charlie family stuffs
whispers it's a list of his family
(from oldest to youngest)
John (Stuart Townsend) – Really independent. Didn’t fit the stereotype of the uber nurturing oldest sibling at all – he felt burdened by the rest of them and was often off doing his own thing. Ended up going off to become a co-owner of a business in town relatively quickly. Always comes home for every Thanksgiving and sends his siblings birthday presents even though they’re all older. Always had a special spot for Charlie, though, and drove him to speech therapy sessions often and was the main facilitator for that sort of thing. Ended up married with a kid.
Molly (Sarah Bolger) – She was the responsible one who sort of mothered them when their mother was out. Charlie remembers her breakfasts particularly well, as their mother was often out working, so that was sort of Molly’s “thing.” She would be the one to crack down on the rest of her siblings’s shit half the time. Eventually went on to become a nurse practitioner. Never pursued a family of her own, although she can often be found at their mother’s house.
Bill (Daniel Bruhl) – Troubled, but decent at heart. His passions were boxing and making music – he would box with Danny for practice and tried to teach Charlie how to play guitar. Participated in a rock band during his high school years (during which he also tried to show Charlie how to play the drums), though he also got into many fights during these years. He went on to become a radio host after he realized that his aggressive nature would get him nowhere, and is the main facilitator for family events now. Empathetic and forgiving.
Danny (Allen Leech) – Douchebag. Was the one that pushed Charlie down the stairs (resulting in his scar). Probably the cruelest of the siblings, as he was often left to his own devices because he was neither the oldest not the youngest. Was fond of picking on both of Tiffany and Charlie, although he himself was also bullied in school b/c of his short stature. Would often practice boxing techniques with Bill, as the older sibligns were unaware of his violent streak. Ended up less than successful because he never found a particular drive or passion, and works as a bartender now. Sometimes indulges in the drinks. Has a girlfriend who plays at being a tattoo artist.
Tiffany (Carly Rae Jepsen) Sarcastic and quiet. Tended to be more introverted. She enjoyed taking pictures. Had a notebook in which she wrote down scraps and lines of poetry, although nothing ever became of it. She was the one Charlie was closest to, and she was the first one he told when he signed up for the UNSC. Liked taking pictures of flowers particularly. Ended up becoming a welder, and she remains close to Bridget (especially since Charlie went AWOL), John, and Bill. Misses Charlie a lot and sometimes writes letters that she never sends.
Charlie
Bridget (Emma Stone) Vibrant and happy. Probably one of the more emotional siblings. She has a strong creative drive, and although most of her clothes were hand-me-downs and didn’t match at all, she enjoyed taking pieces, mixing, and matching them. She also enjoys painting, and was sad when Charlie left because she was the only one still in school. Got along with Bill especially well. Eventually became a graphic designer for a really green company and is currently with her girlfriend. Sort of the oddball of the family, a little offbeat and somewhat naïve at times.
