St. Gianna was an Italian pediatrician, wife and mother who is best known for refusing both an abortion and a hysterectomy when she was pregnant with her fourth child, despite knowing that continuing with the pregnancy could result in her death. Gianna died a week after giving birth to her child, who was present at her mother’s canonization in 2004.

Some local pro-choicers were raging on Facebook because they think California might shutter Planned Parenthood during the Covid-19 pandemic (as if California would ever be that humane) and they were attacking pro-lifers and abolitionists (like myself) with comments like, "Well we hope you open all your homes to these drug babies and rape/incest babies." (as if those types of babies make up a significant percentage of total abortions - they don't and they never have.) I told one, "When we do plead with you to give us the babies and promise to raise them in loving homes ourselves you freak out over that too!"

Abortion photos: Are they real?

It is a common tactic of abortion supporters to claim graphic photos of aborted fetuses are faked. Photographic evidence is hard to argue with, so those who are pro-abortion will try to discredit the evidence.

The center for bio-ethical reform (CBR,) an organization which has an extensive collection of abortion photos (you can view them here,) addresses such claims on their website with the following statement from Dr. Anthony P. Levatino, M.D., J.D., a former abortionist who is both a physician and an attorney:

I, the undersigned, having performed induced abortions earlier in my career, have examined the photos depicting the aborted human embryos and fetuses used by The Center For Bio-Ethical Reform in their public education projects (http://www.abortionNO.org). It is my professional opinion that the photos depict aborted human embryos and fetuses and that the depicted aborted human embryos and fetuses are accurately captioned as to age, in weeks since fertilization.

In case you’re still doubtful, a current abortionist has also admitted that these pictures are real. Here’s a quote from this article:

There are many other former abortionists (and some current abortionists) who will corroborate Dr. Levatino's statement. Tammy Sobieski, who works at a Florida abortion clinic, said on television, in response to the abortion pictures on CBR's trucks, "What's disheartening for me is the lack of trust they have in women, that they think women don't know that that's the reality of abortion." Almost no one in the abortion industry is as honest as Ms. Sobieski, and this is a statement she likely wants back. From her own mouth, referring to the same abortion images seen on this website she says, "that's the reality of abortion."

Another way we can affirm that abortion photos are accurate is by looking at pictures of miscarried fetuses/embryos. Here are some examples:

These are just a small sampling of all the pictures that exist, but by looking at them we can see that their features bear a striking resemblance to the ones seen in the photos of aborted fetuses...the only key difference being that the aborted fetuses are torn apart and covered in blood. 

These grisly pictures are, unfortunately, the true reality of abortion. We must take a stand to protect the most innocent and the most vulnerable members of our society.
