#PrecinctVisitisLife I hashtag visits like these with "precint/jail visit is life": a seemingly playful variation of the common phrase. But what I want people to understand is that, when I use that hashtag, it is not about me. It isn't about what I have done or achieved. It isn't about what activity I am enjoying. Instead, it is about the people behind bars I get to visit, who, by these visits and without discounting the sufferings of the offended (if any), are given a sense of humanity despite the circumstances. Regardless of the merit of their case, it is admitted that there is a stigma that comes along with having sinned or allegedly sinned. They are shunned by society; despised. But they are no less human. By this coporal work of mercy, God, through us, is giving life to those who faces death. To some who are free, a visit is nothing. To them, whose freedom is shackled, it is a lot. "Visit the imprisoned", we are taught. "Seek and save the lost." #GarciaHernandezPoliceStation #ValenciaPoliceStation #Pao #PAOnation #PublicAttorneysOffice #lawyer #Bohol #Tagbilaran (at Valencia Police Station, Valencia, Bohol) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bs7vaD8HTu0/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=ef3xf20d2q0z
