Students from the IIMT #College of Law in Greater Noida visited the District Jail of Gautam Buddha Nagar on Monday for an informative tour. The students obtained comprehensive information about the inmates from the jail staff throughout this time. Additionally, the students were brought to a jail-run #skill#development center. Here, inmates were observed performing tasks like bookbinding, welding, sewing, and carpentry. Students learned about the legal rights of undertrial inmates from Jail #Superintendent Mr. Surya Pratap Shahi.

Jail Visit || Rachel and Sam

Rachel: She walked into the visitation room and sighed, taking a seat at one of the cubicles. She hated this place and much preferred the county lockup where you could actually sit at a table and talk to the person you were visiting instead of having to talk on little phones through glass. She wasn’t entirely sure what was going on with Sam but she was glad she was finally being able to talk to him.

She was so mad at Johnson that she could spit, but she couldn’t let anyone see that. She needed to talk to Puck and see if he had a guy that could take the fall for this; with this added to his record, Sam was looking at serious jail time and no one wanted that. She wondered if they realized how dire the situation was, but when Sam was finally brought in, she could tell by the look on his face he probably did.

She reached for the phone and waited, not sure what to expect.
