It has been brought to my attention that salt-and-whimsy/the-quantum-repairman/predictive-analytics has deleted their tumblr accounts. It breaks my heart to know they aren’t here anymore and that I didn’t reach out to them sooner. I know they had a new job lined up starting in the new year and had been under a lot of stress.
This isn’t a post worrying about their welfare or anything like that. I know they are or will be alright and having an account here was just too much for them right now. This is a post on the off-chance that they decide to check back here.
I’ve told them this before, and I will say it again. No matter what, I’ll be here if they decide to come back and we’ll always be friends, despite the miles and time between us.
I wish I hadn’t gotten so tangled up in my own mess and forgotten to check-in and see how they’re doing with theirs. They’ve offered me advice and helped me deal with bumps on the road, and I hope I was able to help, even a little, with theirs. If there is anything to take away from this, it’s to remember the important people in your life and reach out to them, even if it’s just to see how they’re doing. Internet friends can be the truest of friends and it’s important not to take them for granted. I’ll miss you, my friend, and I hope to see you return one day.
