It's sad that post transitioned people tend to become ignored when it comes to bathroom related topics.
Realistically it's probably because medically transitioning is NOT easy to do. Money being the main cause because w/o the proper help paying for it out of pocket will be near impossible.
So people go freaking out when they think a male bodied person is in the woman's restroom....most likely a pre op preestrogen trans woman.
So ignorant rules are made that you have to be in the restroom that pertains to your legal-born sex as not to cause panic.
Aight. But what happens....when one is physically transitioned and passing?
Are we really going to send a passing trans woman into a men's restroom? Do people have any understanding of the danger that puts her in?
Or what about a passing trans man? Are we going to send him into a women's restroom which causes the EXACT scenario that society screams and frets about?
"THERE'S A MAN IN THE WOMAN'S RESTROOM, THE FUCK IS HE DOING IN HERE?! HE MUST BE SOME KIND OF PERVERT!"
Well he wouldn't have been in there if you minded your own business :/ He has also been carelessly put into danger now.
This bugs me, because someday I hope to pass as a man without question and i certainly don't want to be a man making women fearful by being in their space. I just want to pee, and for now I don't pass. So i pee in the women's restroom. But how long do you think i will remain looking like a woman when I start on my hormones?
Continuing to use the restroom for what you have in your pants isn't realistic in keeping the peace for what other's perceive you as because of everything outside of them.
