Where are the executive functions located?
The part of your brain that is in charge of processing executive functions is located in the prefrontal lobe with a number of neuronal connections to other cortical, subcortical and brain-stem areas. The pre-frontal lobe is most involved with the planning and execution of complex cognitive thoughts and the application of logical responses to outside stimuli.
